The military parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2nd is attracting special attention from people across the country. In recent days, tens of thousands of people have flocked to the central area of Hanoi to watch the rehearsals, creating a vibrant atmosphere but also posing many potential health and safety risks.

On August 30 alone, there were nearly 500 cases of spectators requiring medical assistance.

According to the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management ( Ministry of Health ), gathering a large number of people in a large space poses many potential risks of medical incidents. People need to proactively prepare in advance, maintain order throughout the event and handle emergencies properly.

Before attending the event: the department recommends that people should calculate reasonable travel time, avoid arriving too early the previous afternoon. Clothing should be neat, polite, shoes with back straps to facilitate movement and prevent slipping.

People are also advised to bring drinking water, snacks, and simple items to protect themselves from the sun and rain such as umbrellas, hats or hand fans. In particular, monitoring personal health status before attending is necessary to choose a suitable viewing position.

During the event : the department reminds people not to jostle, push or be too aggressive. Avoid shouting and arguing to limit collisions. Each person should determine in advance the location of the nearest medical stations through the A80 application or observe directly, in order to promptly seek support when needed.

In case of emergency: people must remain calm, strictly follow the announcements of the authorities and the instructions of security forces and guards. Do not panic, push or try to go against the crowd.

When moving, follow the flow of people, maintain a steady posture and pay attention to exits to quickly leave the danger zone.

If you are unfortunately caught in a crowd : keep your hands in front of your chest to protect your lungs, move in short steps to follow the rhythm of the crowd and absolutely do not stop in the middle of the stream.

In case of fall, immediately protect your head, bend over to cover vital organs, then quickly find an opportunity to stand up.

The Department of Medical Examination and Treatment emphasizes that people's safety is the top priority. When feeling unsafe, people should leave crowded areas to avoid risks.
