Hoi An tests building civilized streets in the old town

The main contents to be implemented include propaganda and mobilization of people and businesses to join in building civilized streets; guiding and inspecting business activities, displays and advertisements in the old quarter according to the regulations of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province; building streets that say no to plastic bags and plastic waste; building a civilized commercial lifestyle, friendly attitude in communication and behavior with tourists, no cheating, soliciting, oppressing customers, maintaining the construction of 9 contents in the Project "Hoi An - Humane, honest".

Thereby, renovating the streets, planning to develop a commercial - service network suitable for the space of the old town, gradually aiming to build a civilized, safe and friendly sightseeing and shopping area; creating a healthy, civilized, safe and friendly business environment to meet the sightseeing and shopping needs of tourists when visiting Hoi An ancient town.

It is expected that in 2024, Hoi An City will announce and pilot the construction of civilized streets on Tran Phu Street (the intersection with Nguyen Hue Street to Chua Cau) and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street. By 2025, it will be expanded to the entire old town and buffer zone.
