At the Cultural House of Quang Long 7 village , the People's Committee of Duong Hoa commune organized a workshop "Enhancing the value and competitiveness of Duong Hoa tea area" .
The workshop had nearly 100 delegates attending, including scientists and leading experts from the Northern Mountainous Agriculture and Forestry Science Institute, Vietnam Tea Association, Vietnam Tea Science and Technology Association, and representatives of local authorities, cooperatives and tea farmers.
At the workshop, delegates focused on discussing and proposing many solutions to improve production quality, build the Duong Hoa tea brand and expand the consumption market. In particular, they emphasized the urgent need to improve varieties, replace old tea areas with new varieties with high productivity and quality; promote the application of production processes according to VietGAP and organic standards; increase mechanization and apply digital technology in tea area management.
In the coming time, the locality will continue to organize training, transfer technical advances and quickly put into production new tea varieties such as Ngoc Thuy, Huong Bac Son, hybrid tea, etc.
The workshop also agreed on the direction of brand building, promoting product promotion, linking the development of Duong Hoa tea area with community tourism and experiential tourism; positioning Duong Hoa tea not only as an agricultural product, but also as a unique cultural value of the locality.
The workshop is a key activity to implement the Resolution of the 1st Party Congress of Duong Hoa Commune, term 2025-2030, towards sustainable development of agriculture, forestry and fishery and maximizing the potential of OCOP products in the commune.
