At the Quang Long 7 village cultural center , the People's Committee of Duong Hoa commune organized a workshop titled "Enhancing the Value and Competitiveness of Duong Hoa Tea Region" .
The workshop was attended by nearly 100 delegates, including scientists and leading experts from the Northern Mountainous Region Institute of Agricultural and Forestry Science and Technology, the Vietnam Tea Association, the Vietnam Tea Science and Technology Association, as well as representatives from local authorities, cooperatives, and tea-growing farmers.
At the workshop, delegates focused on discussing and proposing various solutions to improve production quality, build the brand of Duong Hoa tea, and expand the market. Emphasis was placed on the urgent need to improve tea varieties, replace old tea plantations with new, high-yielding, high-quality varieties; promote the application of production processes according to VietGAP and organic standards; and increase mechanization and the application of digital technology in tea plantation management.
In the coming period, the locality will continue to organize training, transfer advanced technologies, and quickly introduce new tea varieties such as Ngoc Thuy, Huong Bac Son, hybrid tea, etc., into production.
The workshop also agreed on the direction of brand building, promoting the product, linking the development of Duong Hoa tea growing area with community tourism and experiential tourism; positioning Duong Hoa tea not only as an agricultural product, but also as a distinctive cultural value of the locality.
The workshop is a key activity aimed at implementing the Resolution of the First Party Congress of Duong Hoa Commune, term 2025-2030, towards sustainable agricultural, forestry, and fisheries development and maximizing the potential of OCOP products in the commune.
