Urging G20 to admit AU, Indian Prime Minister wants Africa to participate in shaping global issues

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has written to the leaders of the Group of 20 (G20) major economies , proposing full and permanent membership for the African Union (AU) at the upcoming G20 summit, an official source said.
