In the second season hosting the qualifying round of the TNSV THACO Cup in the Southeast region, Bau Thanh Stadium welcomes the new spring with the new owner, H.Long Dat. The Bau Thanh Stadium campus has been upgraded to be more spacious with many bold cultural and historical themes. The stadium, which is considered the most beautiful in the qualifying round of the TNSV THACO Cup 2025, will welcome 4 teams from Ba Ria-Vung Tau University, Binh Duong University, Dong Nai University of Technology, Lac Hong University and 2 new recruits from Sonadezi College of Technology and Management and Lilama 2 International College of Technology.

Mr. Vo Thanh Loc, Deputy Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Long Dat District, shared: "Long Dat District was just established 2 days ago (January 1, 2025), so there were some difficulties due to the rush and busy work after the merger. However, we have always tried to connect and coordinate well with Thanh Nien Newspaper. The first meeting of the leaders of the new Long Dat District People's Committee was with Thanh Nien Newspaper to try to continue to coordinate well to complete the preparation for the tournament, building a good tradition between Thanh Nien Newspaper and the locality in all future sports, especially football. We are proud that Bau Thanh Stadium's grass is among the top in the country, better than many first-class teams, and is well cared for, even better than last year. This year, the district has invested in an additional experience area system for the football teams to take a nap and have lunch. The District People's Committee has directed security and medical forces to coordinate closely so that the tournament takes place smoothly and excitingly".

In the first season, the Organizing Committee selected the top 2 teams (3 teams in each group) to play the play-off. This year, the Organizing Committee decided to select the top 2 teams in each group to play the knockout round, selecting the 2 best names to compete for the only ticket to the final round. This adjustment immediately received a high response from the teams. Head coach of Binh Duong University Tran Phu Vinh commented: "We clearly feel the great attention from the Organizing Committee, taking care of each team from beautiful fields, security, medical care to clothing for the athletes. The adjustment of the competition format is very good for the teams, when strong names have more opportunities to show off, compete and achieve the best results".

In last year's season, Dong Nai University of Technology entered the final round and won the bronze medal, creating great motivation for other teams to invest more. Coach Deo Dang Khoa (Lac Hong University) affirmed that this year the school will focus all its resources on the THACO Cup 2025, with the goal of reaching the final match. Similarly, Binh Duong University will be an unknown when training its troops very early for the dream of the final round. Everyone is ready for the 9 matches (from January 4 to 12) that promise to be very exciting at Bau Thanh Stadium, to choose the most worthy name to represent the Southeast region to participate in the final round.
