Honda Vietnam announces the implementation of a recall campaign for CR-V e:HEV RS vehicles imported from Thailand and manufactured between August 24, 2023, and September 11, 2024.
Specifically, this recall campaign, which began on November 19, 2024, involves the inspection and replacement of the high-pressure fuel pump for CR-V e:HEV RS models manufactured in 2023-2024 and imported and distributed by Honda Vietnam. The purpose is to check for potential fuel leaks and gasoline odors from the high-pressure fuel pump during engine operation.
2,695 CR-V e:HEV RS vehicles imported from Thailand, manufactured between August 24, 2023 and September 11, 2024, are included in the recall list.
All owners of affected vehicles will be notified of the recall campaign details by Honda Motor Distributors via mail and/or email and/or direct phone call based on the vehicle owner information registered in Honda Vietnam's customer management system.
Customers are advised to bring their vehicles to authorized Honda dealerships for inspection and parts replacement if leaks are detected. In the event of a leak at the high-pressure fuel pump, Honda Vietnam will replace the faulty part. Inspections will begin on November 25, 2024, and will take approximately 0.5 hours per vehicle.
Although no safety incidents related to this issue have been reported in the Vietnamese market, the Japanese automaker advises customers, for their own benefit and safety, to promptly bring their vehicles to authorized Honda dealerships for inspection. The cost of inspection or replacement of affected parts will be covered by Honda Vietnam .
