Honda Vietnam recalls 2,965 CR-V cars

Honda Vietnam announced the implementation of a recall campaign for CR-V e:HEV RS vehicles imported from Thailand manufactured from August 24, 2023 to September 11, 2024.

Specifically, this recall campaign starting from November 19, 2024 involves checking and replacing the high-pressure fuel pump for the CR-V e:HEV RS model manufactured in 2023-2024 imported and distributed by Honda Vietnam to check for possible gasoline leakage and gasoline smell from the high-pressure fuel pump when the engine is running.

2,695 CR-V e:HEV RS vehicles imported from Thailand manufactured from August 24, 2023 to September 11, 2024 are on the recall list.

All owners of affected vehicles will be notified of detailed information related to the recall campaign by Honda Automobile Distributors via handwritten letter and/or e-mail and/or direct telephone based on the vehicle owner information registered on Honda Vietnam's customer management system.

Customers who receive notices should bring their vehicles to Honda Auto Distributors for inspection and replacement of spare parts when leaks are detected. In case of leakage at the high-pressure fuel pump, Honda Vietnam will proceed to replace new spare parts. The inspection time starts from November 25, 2024 with 0.5 hours/vehicle.

Although there have been no recorded cases of unsafety due to the above problem occurring in the Vietnamese market, the Japanese car company recommends that customers, for their own interests and safety, quickly bring their cars to Honda Auto Distributors for inspection. The cost of inspection or replacement of affected parts will be paid by Honda Vietnam .
