Instructing students on skills to prevent and combat online fraud

(CT) - Ninh Kieu Ward Youth Union (Can Tho City) has just coordinated with the Information Technology School Youth Union (Can Tho University) to organize a workshop with the theme "Preventing cyber attacks and fake news in cyberspace".

Students of Ninh Kieu ward are instructed on how to identify and prevent online fraud.

More than 100 junior high school students participating in summer activities in the ward were informed by officers of the Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention ( Can Tho City Police) about the situation of online crime and fraud; forms of cyber attacks; instructions on how to protect personal data, identify fake news and necessary skills to protect themselves in the digital environment.

Activities to improve digital capacity for students are one of the new features of the 2025 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, launched by Can Tho City Youth. Accordingly, from the end of May to the end of August 2025, Youth Union units will coordinate with the "Digital Education for the People" team to organize training on safe social network usage skills; free computer teaching and dissemination of legal knowledge on cybersecurity.
