Recently, episode 16 of the highly anticipated drama series "Our 8 Years Later" officially marked the beginning of a new chapter for the characters, focusing on their lives 8 years in the future.

Over the past year, the couple Duong and Lam from 8 years ago, played by actors Hoang Ha and Quoc Anh, have been loved by the audience and received many positive reviews.

In particular, actor Hoang Ha, playing the role of Duong, has been recognized for his acting ability. Praise for Hoang Ha has been overwhelming after each episode airs.

This puts pressure and stress on Duong, played by Huyen Lizzie (Phan Minh Huyen), eight years later. After her resounding success as Van Trang in the film "Thuong Ngay Nang Ve ," Huyen Lizzie is a highly anticipated face in "Chung Ta 8 Nam Lai ."

The actress shared that she put a lot of thought and effort into ensuring her role in this new film would bring her a new milestone in her acting career.

According to Huyen Lizzie, the role of Duong eight years later is very difficult, even "extremely difficult." Duong is no longer the innocent and pure girl she was eight years ago; instead, she has a complex psychology, a lot of hidden emotions, is indifferent to life, uninterested in anything, and has extremely negative thoughts…

Nevertheless, she felt fortunate to be given this role; the character's difficulty particularly stimulated her, making her excited, and she had to work much harder to create a unique and memorable portrayal of the character.

"Hoang Ha's acting is truly excellent; personally, I highly appreciate her abilities. Hoang Ha's performance is very good, realistic, with excellent diction and confidence. Moreover, the youthful love between Duong and Lam is wonderful, making the audience love Duong and Lam from part 1 so much. I love them too."

The first part of the film was a success, loved by the audience, and the cast and crew were all very happy. I'm so glad because it laid the groundwork for the second part to be well-received.

However, it was also a lot of pressure when I took on the role of Duong eight years later. I felt immense pressure. The pressure was already there when I accepted the role, but after finishing part 1 and preparing for part 2, the pressure was even greater," Huyen Lizzie shared.

Huyen Lizzie praised Hoang Ha's performance in part 1 and admitted she felt pressured replacing the younger actress in the adult stage of the character Duong in the film (Photo: Provided by the character).

The actress revealed that, before the airing of season 2, she felt somewhat unstable, confused, even lacking confidence and nervous.

"I don't know if I did well enough, if I was able to continue the success of the first part. I was extremely stressed and pressured by this role," Huyen Lizzie said.

Huyen Lizzie added that she understands the audience's psychology, because when the audience loves and is too familiar with a character, and that same character is replaced by a different actor, the audience won't be able to get used to it immediately.

Especially since the audience is enjoying the vibrant, youthful love story of the main couple. Moreover, in part 2, the audience might be shocked to find that it's a completely different story, with a completely different tone from part 1: darker, gloomier, and heavier...

"However, I hope to soon win the love and affection of the audience for the character Duong in part 2 that I play. The audience will love the later Duong through my acting and the unique qualities I bring to the character. I hope the audience will still love the previous Duong, and gradually accept the Duong of the future," she confided.

The actress also shared that pressure is a good thing for an actress like her. Because it becomes a strong motivation for her to focus and work harder on her character.

Every day, Huyen Lizzie strives to do her best in each scene of the role and is ready to accept any praise or criticism for Duong eight years later in order to improve herself.

"Certainly, when the film airs, there will be mixed reactions, comparisons, and both praise and criticism. I believe there will be viewers who love me as soon as they see me, but many others will need time to get used to and accept the Dương I've become."

And whether the audience embraces it with love or is unfamiliar with it, I am open to all praise and criticism, if any.

"Right now, all I know is that I'm trying my best, 100 to 1,000 times harder, to accompany Duong on the most memorable journeys in life, bringing the most emotions to the audience," Huyen Lizzie shared.
