NDO - From 2014 to 2022, eight Global Young Parliamentarians Conferences were held with different themes. The Vietnamese National Assembly will host the 9th Global Young Parliamentarians Conference in Hanoi from September 14-17, 2023, with the theme "The Role of Youth in Promoting the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals through Digital Transformation and Innovation." In 2014, the Inter -Parliamentary Union ( IPU ) established the mechanism for the annual Global Young Parliamentarians Conference to contribute to: strengthening the role of young parliamentarians and youth participation in parliamentary activities and providing recommendations from a youth perspective on the activities and agenda of the IPU; building networks, fostering solidarity and capacity building, and expanding youth's access to issues of common concern. To date, eight global conferences have been held on various topics.
