To meet the public's demand for visits, the Ministry of National Defence has decided to extend the exhibition period and open certain areas at the Second International Defence Exhibition until December 23rd.
On December 22nd, the Office of the Ministry of National Defense issued a document conveying the opinion of Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, Deputy Minister of National Defense and Head of the Exhibition Steering Committee, regarding the extension of the opening hours for some booths until December 23rd (originally scheduled for December 22nd).
Specifically, the opening hours for some booths of the Military Industry and Telecommunications Group (shooting equipment, AI technology, etc.); the exhibition area "Achievements in building the people's armed forces and the national defense system"; the cultural space; and the food and beverage service area will be extended.
General Hoang Xuan Chien instructed the Exhibition Organizing Committee to direct the subcommittees to provide thorough service and ensure absolute security and safety for visitors. On the very first day of opening, leaders of the Ministry of National Defense were present at the exhibition to inspect several preparations.

On the afternoon of December 21st, during a visit to inspect the reception of visitors at the exhibition, Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien encouraged the service forces; instructed and directed relevant departments to create the best possible conditions and ensure absolute safety for visitors; and considered extending the opening hours of some Vietnamese booths to accommodate more visitors and provide a more immersive experience.
The Organizing Committee, the standing agency, and military enterprises are creating the most favorable conditions for people to access the products. Units responsible for security and safety are maintaining their duties well, especially in traffic management.

As of the morning of December 22nd, over 150,000 people had registered to visit the exhibition. From the afternoon of December 19th, a large number of people flocked to the exhibition area. Due to the overwhelming demand, the organizers decided to open the doors early for public viewing.
By noon on December 21st, the number of visitors to the exhibition had exceeded 100,000. On the morning of December 22nd, starting at 6 am, thousands of people lined up in front of the exhibition entrance, despite being informed that the opening time would begin at 9 am.
Anticipating a large number of registrations, the Organizing Committee has prepared various scenarios, with the aim of providing maximum convenience and safety for visitors to the Exhibition, striving to ensure security, safety, and food hygiene.

On December 21st and 22nd, many visitors arrived early in the morning to wait to see the equipment and weapons. Those wishing to visit had to register in advance at: https://vietnamdefence.vdi.org.vn.
To maintain order and ensure safety, security forces guided people to queue in groups, prioritizing the elderly and children. Security personnel also reminded people to adhere to dress codes and other regulations within the tourist area.
