Introducing the tourism potential of Guangxi Province (China), Huang Yaolin, Deputy Director of the Culture and Tourism Department of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, said that Guangxi Province connects ASEAN countries by land and sea, possessing attractive and unique tourism potential. Notable attractions include: Guilin's scenic landscapes, the ancient Huashan rock paintings ( a World Heritage site), traditional tea art and tea-related customs…

According to Ha Van Sieu, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration, for many years, the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism have signed strategic cooperation agreements in the fields of culture and tourism.
The Vietnam National Tourism Administration has also signed memoranda of understanding on tourism cooperation with six Chinese provinces: Macau, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Sichuan, and Chongqing. Guangxi, with its magnificent natural scenery, ancient cultural heritage, and unique cuisine , has always been an ideal destination for Vietnamese tourists wishing to explore and experience cultural diversity.
In 2023, Vietnam welcomed over 1.7 million Chinese tourists, recovering 30% compared to 2019. In the first four months of 2024, Vietnam welcomed nearly 1.25 million Chinese tourists, recovering over 73% compared to the same period in 2019. Vietnam also sent many tourist groups to China.
The exchange of tourists between the two sides has recovered significantly in recent times, but it is still not commensurate with the friendship and good relations between them. However, the tourism development potential of both sides is still very large and needs to be further exploited.
"The Vietnam National Tourism Administration is committed to continuing to promote cooperation and cultural tourism exchanges between Vietnam and Guangxi province in particular, and China in general, in order to promote sustainable development for the tourism industry in the future," Mr. Sieu affirmed.
At the event, along with introducing tea culture and unique destinations in Guangxi, delegates and Vietnamese travel agencies had the opportunity to participate in a tea culture space, view photo exhibitions about tea culture, and learn about attractive tours and travel routes in Guangxi.
