International customers interested in Vietnamese agricultural products at China Import and Export Fair

At the China Import and Export Fair held in Guangzhou, Vietnamese agricultural products displayed in the Vietnam National Pavilion attracted considerable attention from international visitors.

The 136th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) will be held from October 31 to November 4, 2024.

At this year's fair, the Vietnamese National Pavilion was specially designed with the theme: "Leading Food Processors from Vietnam – FOODS OF VIETNAM," deeply rooted in Vietnamese culture. Furthermore, with its eye-catching layout, impressive display of products, and product tasting activities, the Vietnamese National Pavilion stood out from the crowd.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Tien – Director of the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center ( Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development ) – said that with ^90m² , the Vietnamese National Pavilion brings together 10 large enterprises specializing in producing strong products with export potential and competitiveness, such as: Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company; Canh Dieu Joint Stock Company; Tomcare Biotechnology Company Limited; Viet Phi Agriculture Joint Stock Company; MCGOODS Vietnam Company Limited; Datafa Company Limited; Vietnam Cinnamon and Anise Production and Export Joint Stock Company; Truong Giang Equipment Company Limited; Avata Holding Trading and Service Company Limited; Huynh Nuong Company Limited; with a diverse range of strong products, including: milk and dairy products, various types of coffee, fresh and frozen durian, pepper, cashew nuts, spices and beverages.

This is an opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to expand their sales channels, participate in the food and agricultural product supply chain and value chain, effectively promote their brands and products, boost business development, exchange experiences, find customers, and expand their market in China.

“Right on the first day of the Fair, products such as fresh and frozen durian; fresh watermelon juice and coconut products; dried fruits, canned fruit juices; coffee, macadamia nuts, cashews, cinnamon and star anise, and Vietnamese spices… attracted particular attention from international customers,” Mr. Nguyen Minh Tien shared.

Earlier, on October 30th, a Vietnamese business delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Minh Tien visited and worked with the Guangdong Import and Export Association (China).

Prior to the opening day of the trade fair (morning of October 30th), a delegation of Vietnamese businesses led by Mr. Nguyen Minh Tien visited and worked with the Guangdong Import and Export Association (China).

During the meeting, Vietnamese businesses connected with businesses from the Guangdong Import and Export Association (China) in areas such as: machinery and equipment, post-harvest processing technology, supply chain operation in Vietnam, e-commerce for agricultural products, etc.

In particular, businesses in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, are interested in purchasing various Vietnamese agricultural products such as durian, coconut products, dried fruits, canned fruit juices, organic products, spices, and textile products.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Tien expects that, through activities at the fair, Vietnamese businesses will have many opportunities to promote Vietnamese agricultural and food brands, the national image, and the image of Vietnamese businesses to international customers and consumers. At the same time, they can seek opportunities for cooperation and investment in agricultural production, food processing, beverages, etc., as well as promptly grasp the consumption trends of the Chinese market to expand and develop the market for Vietnamese agricultural and food products.

The China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) is China's largest international trade fair, organized annually twice a year by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, in April and October, in Guangzhou, China.
