According to the Department of Culture and Information of Phu Quy district, during the April 30 and May 1 holidays, the demand for sightseeing and relaxation on the "pearl island" of tourists increased, and high-speed boats were operating at full capacity.
It is known that in the first quarter of 2024, Phu Quy welcomed 23,783 visitors, including 985 international visitors; in March alone, the island district welcomed 17,199 visitors for sightseeing and relaxation, including 447 foreign tourists.
On the occasion of April 30 and May 1 alone, Phu Quy is expected to welcome about 7,000 visitors. Most of the more than 100 hotels, motels and homestays on Phu Quy Island have been fully booked. Due to the 5-day holiday and hot weather, tourists mainly choose to travel to the sea and islands. According to statistics, all hotels, motels and homestays on Phu Quy Island with about 1,200 rooms and a capacity of about 2,000 people have been fully booked.
Along with ensuring security and safety for people and tourists, Phu Quy district has also implemented many measures to always ensure a friendly and safe tourism environment. Infrastructure services such as electricity, water, telecommunications, garbage collection, etc. have been planned in detail to ensure continuous operation during the holidays. In addition, tourism and service businesses have also proactively implemented regulations on price posting and selling at the correct listed price, ensuring safety for customers, especially rescue work at coastal beaches, swimming pools, etc., also contributing to affirming the image of a friendly and attractive destination of Phu Quy pearl island.
Through a survey at some hotels and homestays in Phu Quy, the room rates during this time are only surcharged from 10 - 15%. Along with investing in ensuring service quality and diversifying seafood menus, hotels, homestays, and motels in Phu Quy also design combo packages including train tickets, accommodation, food, and entertainment, creating more options for tourists.

Meanwhile, Ms. Mai Thi Kieu, Manager of Queen Sea Resort, has a joint program to serve group guests, unique entertainment services to meet all customer needs. On this holiday, 25 rooms of Queen Sea Resort have also reached nearly 100% capacity.
