Passengers experience "falling off the track", high-speed train suspended in the air

(Dan Tri) - Siren's Curse roller coaster officially opened at Cedar Point Park (Ohio, USA). This is the tallest, fastest and longest inclined roller coaster in North America, offering the experience of "falling off the rails".

According to PEOPLE magazine, the Siren's Curse roller coaster – advertised as the tallest, fastest, and longest incline roller coaster in North America – will officially open on June 28th at Cedar Point amusement park in Ohio, USA.

This thrilling game quickly attracted the attention of the speed-loving community thanks to its unique design, simulating the scene of a train carriage seemingly "falling off the tracks" in mid-air.

The approximately two-minute ride begins by taking the rider 49 meters to a height via a giant crane tower. At the climax, the train suddenly stops at a "broken" section of track, leaving the carriage suspended precariously in mid-air.

Then, the track gradually tilts 90 degrees, bringing the player into a completely upright position.

When the track locking system is activated, the train car immediately plunges down the rest of the track at a maximum speed of 93 km/h.

As its name suggests, Siren's Curse is inspired by the legend of the enchanting creatures of Lake Erie – said to be able to enchant and lure sailors to the bottom of the water with their mystical songs.

"These alluring mermaids now emerge from the water and take visitors on a thrilling two-minute adventure using state-of-the-art roller coaster technology," the park's press release describes.

Siren's Curse has a total track length of 904m, including 13 moments of "weightlessness," two 360-degree rotations in a state of zero gravity, and a combination of three consecutive plunges on a winding and sharply inclined track.

The newly designed train car, with 24 seats, integrates a vibrant sound system and modern LED lighting, providing a multi-sensory experience for players.

Siren's Curse marks the 20th roller coaster on the list of rides at Cedar Point, a popular amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio.

Other notable roller coasters here include Millennium Force, Valravn, and Top Thrill 2 – a triple-launch roller coaster that ranks among the fastest and tallest in the world .

Cedar Point is considered America's "roller coaster mecca," constantly upgrading and updating its modern entertainment technologies. In July 2023, its parent company, Cedar Fair, merged with Six Flags, creating the giant theme park corporation Six Flags Entertainment Corporation.
