The incident occurred in the second half of the U22 Vietnam vs. Malaysia match at Rajamangala Stadium yesterday afternoon (December 11). When the U22 Vietnam team made three substitutions, the images shown on television mistakenly depicted the Malaysian team and the Malaysian flag.

Serious mistake: SEA Games organizing committee mistakenly used the flag and name of the Vietnam U22 team instead of Malaysia (Screenshot).
Many times at this year's SEA Games, the host country Thailand's image production team made mistakes like this, confusing the flags of different countries time and time again.
First, in the introduction to women's football, the Thai flag was mistakenly displayed as the Vietnamese flag, and the Indonesian flag as the Lao flag. Next, there were numerous errors in the introduction to 3x3 basketball, with several countries displayed with the Philippines flag and others with the Thailand flag.
Then, a major error occurred during the opening ceremony on December 9th: the screen displayed the host country of the 1997 SEA Games, but the flag shown was that of Singapore.
Until yesterday, another error occurred: the flag and name of the Vietnam U22 team were mistakenly displayed as the flag and name of the Malaysia U22 team, as mentioned above.
Television viewers were shocked by this serious mistake by the SEA Games organizing committee. It's important to know that the live broadcast is provided by the host organizing committee; television stations in other countries, including Vietnam, only retransmit and broadcast it within their own countries.
