Opening of Bac Ha White Plateau Festival 2024

(PLVN) - On the evening of November 30th, the People's Committee of Bac Ha district ( Lao Cai province) held the opening ceremony of the Bac Ha White Plateau Winter Festival 2024, with the theme "Enchanted by Winter".

This is one of four tourism events within the framework of the Bac Ha White Plateau Festival, contributing to stimulating tourism demand and aiming to develop Bac Ha into a distinctive provincial-level tourist area, striving to become a national-level tourist area.

The Bac Ha White Plateau Festival, themed "Intoxicated by Winter," will take place from November 30th to December 7th, 2024. Activities include a traditional ethnic costume competition, a Hmong flute performance, and the "Bac Ha Culinary Arts and Culture" competition, all aimed at preserving and promoting the cultural values ​​of Bac Ha.

The art program is the 2024 Bac Ha District Ethnic Minority Costume Showcase Competition.

At the Opening Night of the Festival, locals and tourists were immersed in the colorful folk culture of the ethnic groups of Bac Ha district through a welcoming art program themed "Returning to the White Plateau," featuring works such as "Indigo Flower Dance at the Festival," "The Song of the Dan Tinh," "The Prosperous Life of the Hmong People," and "The Wedding of the Nung People"... The performances vividly depicted the rich life and spiritual culture of the people in the "White Plateau" region, reflecting the aspirations of the ethnic groups of Bac Ha district to build a beautiful and prosperous life.

At the same time, visitors can also participate in the 3rd Northwest Mountain Marathon in 2024, a comprehensive sports tourism event. In addition, there are many other attractive activities at the Hoang A Tuong Mansion to welcome visitors from near and far to the White Plateau of Bac Ha during the winter season.

Immediately following the art program is the 2024 Bac Ha District Ethnic Minority Costume Showcase.

At the competition, the participating teams presented impressive performances showcasing the traditional costumes of the ethnic minorities living in the district, featuring a variety of colors and reflecting the unique cultural identity of the ethnic groups in the Bắc Hà highlands, such as everyday wear, ceremonial attire, and wedding attire.

District leaders presented commemorative flags to the teams participating in the traditional ethnic minority costume competition.

In 2025, Bac Ha district will continue to organize the Four Seasons White Plateau Festival with increasingly unique and attractive activities to serve the people and tourists. The locality hopes to continue receiving more comprehensive attention from leaders at all levels, departments from the central to local governments, as well as investors, so that Bac Ha can soon escape poverty; the people will become increasingly prosperous and happy; and the Bac Ha White Plateau will become a unique destination for tourists from all over the world.../.
