The National E-commerce Week and Vietnam Online Friday, held annually since 2014, is one of the outstanding initiatives demonstrating the strong support of the Government and the Ministry of Industry and Trade for the development of e-commerce.
In 2024, the program entered its 11th year with many innovations aimed at better meeting the needs of businesses and consumers in the era of digital transformation. In particular, the program is supported by provincial Departments of Industry and Trade nationwide and the participation of numerous content creators on digital platforms, promoting Vietnamese products and creating a highlight to help Vietnamese goods compete with international brands.
To ensure the program's success, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has also set many requirements for participating units.
Firstly, products must have clear origins and be genuine, ensuring the trust of the public and consumers when participating in transactions.
Secondly, we need to improve and ensure the consumer experience in the online transaction environment.
Thirdly, the program needs to connect and facilitate Vietnamese businesses to access and expand markets through e-commerce.
Fourth, the program organizers need to control promotional and discount programs, ensuring their authenticity and protecting consumer rights.
Fifth, we need to strengthen communication efforts, coordinate closely with media agencies, and enhance information sharing so that consumers know and understand how to protect their rights when participating in online transactions.
