SEA Games 33 Opening Ceremony: Crowds flock to Rajamangala, security tightened to the maximum
TPO - The moment that all of Southeast Asia has been waiting for has arrived: the 33rd SEA Games officially opened at the Rajamangala National Stadium. To ensure the ceremony takes place solemnly and safely, a large number of security forces have been mobilized.

After many days of waiting and mixed excitement and confusion due to many sudden changes, the 33rd SEA Games finally officially opened.
The opening ceremony will take place at 7:00 p.m. today at Rajamangala National Stadium, Huamark, Bangkok, but the stadium has been open to the public since 12:00 noon.
The Bangkok Metropolitan Police Department has deployed a large number of traffic police to regulate, support, ensure smooth traffic, and create favorable conditions for people during the ceremony. Traffic police are also directed to work at full capacity, closely coordinating with all relevant agencies to control the situation.
Host Thailand said that mobile units are being prepared to deal with traffic problems, and rescue vehicles are on standby to minimize traffic congestion.
Deputy Prime Minister Thammanat Prompao, who oversees the Ministry of Tourism and Sports , said the opening ceremony of the 33rd SEA Games is 100% ready. In terms of security, he said there will be a large presence of security and military officers. A security general has also been appointed to oversee sports affairs, while a strategy room has been set up to address any issues that may arise.
Since 12 noon on December 9, people have poured into Rajamangala to avoid traffic jams. Those lucky enough to have an entrance ticket naturally did not want to miss this grand and grand event. Not just a sport, the 33rd SEA Games Opening Ceremony is also a special art performance. The organizers revealed that the Opening Ceremony is a blend of music and sports, along with images, lights, sounds and multimedia projection technology with many special effects. Around 5:00 PM, crowds of people packed the entrances to Rajamangala. Young Thais were extremely excited about the event, partly because of the participation of many famous T-Pop stars such as "BamBam" Kunpimook Bhuwakul, along with Nattawut Srimok, a rapper with the stage name Golf F. Hero, and "V" Violet Wautier, "Twopee" Pitawat Phrueksakit, and Sombat Banchamek, also known as Buakaw Banchamek. Mr. Huu Duy is from Vinh Long, studying for a Master's degree at the University of Agriculture in Thailand. He said he was lucky to register successfully through the Organizing Committee's application and own a ticket, then went through a long journey to be present at Rajamangala on the evening of December 9.
To ensure the opening ceremony takes place safely, a large number of police were mobilized. In particular, the SEA Games Opening Ceremony was solemnly held under the chairmanship of King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida, so security work was further ensured. Police dogs were also mobilized. Security forces, including those in plain clothes, were present throughout Rajamangala.
