Opening Ceremony of the Hanoi City 2024 Trade Networking and Digital Technology Product Exhibition

On the morning of November 6th, the Hanoi Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Center inaugurated the Hanoi 2024 Business Networking and Digital Technology Product Showcase Exhibition.


The aim is to promote the image of Hanoi city, attract investment in the digital and high-tech industries, and introduce the potential, strengths, new technologies, and advanced technologies of businesses operating in the digital and high-tech sectors, as well as to invest in and trade products within the digital and high-tech industry ecosystem in Hanoi and the provinces and cities of the Red River Delta region.

The Hanoi Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Center (HPA) is organizing the "Link to Grow" Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Program - Hanoi and the provinces of the Red River Delta region, focusing on digital technology, high technology, and products in the electronics industry and related ecosystems (Hanoi DigiTech 2024) from November 6-8 at the Hanoi Museum, Pham Hung Street, Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Nguyen Anh Duong, Director of HPA, stated: "In the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the application of digital platforms is an inevitable trend, enhancing competitive advantages and optimizing business management. Hanoi, with its strategic location and many unique advantages, has great potential and opportunities to develop and attract investment in digital and high-tech industries."

On June 15, 2024, the Hanoi People's Committee issued Plan No. 184/KH-UBND on "Developing Vietnamese Digital Technology Enterprises in Hanoi City until 2025". In this plan, the city aims to establish 10,000 digital technology enterprises and 10 key digital technology product groups. Hanoi is affirming its continued role as a "locomotive" in the development of information technology and digital technology.

With the goal of connecting, promoting investment, guiding, and encouraging the business community to undergo digital transformation associated with sustainable development…, the Hanoi People's Committee directed and assigned HPA to preside over and coordinate with the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade), and the Department of Information and Communications to organize the Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Program 'Link to Grow' - Hanoi and provinces in the Red River Delta region with the theme of digital technology, high technology, and products in the electronics industry and related ecosystems (Hanoi DigiTech 2024) ,” Mr. Nguyen Anh Duong emphasized.

The program provides an opportunity for businesses to showcase their products, services, and technology solutions to the business community, while also connecting with strategic partners in the e-commerce and digital technology sectors through various engaging activities. Specifically:

The Hanoi City Digital Technology Product Networking Exhibition 2024 , taking place from November 6-8, covers an area of ​​approximately 2,500 m2 with 60 booths. The exhibition includes the following zones: a space for promoting and showcasing the achievements, potential, and investment environment in general, and the potential for digital technology development in particular, of Hanoi and surrounding areas, as well as provinces and cities nationwide; an exhibition area displaying, introducing, and promoting products and services in the digital industry and products within the digital industry ecosystem, electronic components, and high technology; and a trading and networking area for investors, businesses interested in learning more, and manufacturers, technology suppliers, distribution systems, and businesses in the digital industry and products within the digital industry ecosystem, electronic components, and high technology.

Additionally, within the Hanoi Museum grounds, there is an exhibition as part of the "2024 Forum on E-commerce and Digital Technology Applications" organized by the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade), featuring booths from e-commerce and digital technology businesses.

The Hanoi Digitech 2024 Conference - Digital Technology Drives Double Growth and Sustainable Development , took place on the morning of November 6th with approximately 200-250 delegates, including: Representatives from several central ministries and agencies; leaders of the Hanoi People's Committee; relevant departments, agencies, and units; representatives of associations and organizations; international organizations; representatives of businesses, investors, research institutes, and universities specializing in related fields; and representatives from several provinces/cities in the Red River Delta region…

The conference covered the following topics: Opportunities and challenges for Vietnamese digital technology businesses when participating in the international market; Vietnamese digital technology businesses promoting digital transformation, developing the digital economy and digital society; developing human resources in the process of digital transformation; and the role of digital technology businesses in supporting businesses in Hanoi in their digital transformation.

In addition, starting at 13:00 on November 6th, the "2024 Forum on E-commerce and Digital Technology Applications" will be held, organized by the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade).

The digital transformation seminar for small and medium-sized enterprises in Hanoi took place from 2:00 PM on November 7th with approximately 100 delegates, including: representatives from several central ministries and agencies; relevant departments and units; representatives of digital and high-tech industry associations in Hanoi and nationwide; related organizations, associations, and professions; businesses investing in and operating in the digital and high-tech fields; representatives from research centers and universities with related majors…

The seminar included the following topics: Difficulties and obstacles faced by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the digital transformation process; support for digital transformation of SMEs in Hanoi city from 2021 to 2025; digital transformation in marketing, customer care, and brand protection with multi-channel call centers; assessing the readiness for digital transformation in SMEs; proposing technological solutions according to the digital transformation roadmap; and proposing policy mechanisms to promote digital transformation and the development of digital businesses.
