On March 2nd, Cuu Long University, in collaboration with hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City, organized free medical examinations and provided free medicine to over 3,500 elderly people living alone, people with disabilities, orphans, workers, students, and those in difficult circumstances in Vinh Long province and surrounding areas.

More than 200 doctors, dentists, pharmacists, and medical professionals working at Cho Ray Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, and Ho Chi Minh City Dental and Maxillofacial Hospital participated in the program. Here, doctors provided consultations, examinations, and treatment for general internal and surgical diseases; dental and maxillofacial diseases; eye examinations, refraction tests, visual acuity tests, and free glasses for patients with eye problems; and examinations and treatment for musculoskeletal disorders. Depending on the condition, doctors prescribed and provided free medication for 5-7 days.

This is a large-scale charitable program, organized for the third time at Cuu Long University. The program aims to share the difficulties faced by the poor, orphans, and people with disabilities; and to provide them with access to healthcare services, raising awareness of self-care and family health.
People also received gifts when they left.

In addition to receiving free medical examinations and medication, residents also received valuable gifts. The total value of gifts for this program is 250 million VND, contributed by lecturers, staff, and benefactors through fundraising efforts by Cuu Long University.
