Speaking after a meeting with the leadership of the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO) on July 18, Prime Minister Srettha emphasized that the office and related agencies must proactively support the tracing of drug traffickers by quickly identifying their assets.
According to the Thai Prime Minister, a large amount of drugs is still being smuggled into the country, and AMLO needs to actively and urgently prevent money laundering and find ways to seize assets obtained from drug trafficking.
This includes quickly confiscating the assets of the "big players" who provide the financial resources for the entire drug trafficking network, thereby gradually dismantling the drug distribution and trafficking system.
In addition, Prime Minister Srettha also requested AMLO to proactively coordinate with other agencies, such as the Royal Thai Police (RTP), to expand the investigation and improve the effectiveness of handling the case.
