Sports for All: Improving Community Health and Well-Being
In 2025, Ninh Binh province will continue to effectively implement the Campaign "All people practice physical exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", receiving widespread support from all walks of life. The Sports sector has actively provided professional support to agencies, units and localities to organize many exciting and practical sports activities to celebrate major holidays and important political events of the country and locality, as well as traditional days of sectors and units.
Mass sports activities in localities took place enthusiastically, notably the series of events responding to the Olympic Running Day for the Health of the People and the Month of Sports Activities for Everyone. The province also successfully organized the Summer Opening Ceremony, Children's Olympic Day and the Launch of the National Swimming Training Campaign to Prevent Drowning in 2025, attracting the participation of a large number of young people. In addition, a series of sports activities to celebrate historical events such as celebrating the Party, celebrating Spring; commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025); the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2 created an exciting atmosphere and spread the spirit of sports in the community.
In 2025, the province has developed a plan and successfully organized 2-3 provincial-level sports tournaments with the participation of a large number of athletes in the area, including tournaments such as Ninh Binh Provincial Cross-Country Tournament, Women's and Men's Volleyball Tournament, Chess Tournament for age groups, National Wrestling Tournament, Swimming Tournament for Youth and Children, "Cuc Phuong Jungle Paths" Running Tournament, Pickleball Club Championship, Swimming Tournament, "Ninh Binh Heritage Half Marathon" Running Tournament and many other tournaments. Facilities such as Tennis courts, Swimming pools, Sports Palaces, Pickleball courts, gyms and gifted classes continue to be maintained, meeting the training needs of cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and the masses.
High-performance and professional sports: National and international footprint
The year 2025 marks a great step forward for Ninh Binh sports at a high and professional level. The province has had the honor of successfully hosting 05 prestigious international sports tournaments, including: World Triathlon Cup and National Championship 2025; AFC Champions League Two; ASEAN Club Football Championship; SEA V.League Southeast Asian Volleyball Tournament; and Li-ning Vietnam International Badminton Series 2025. At the same time, the province is also the venue for 12 national sports tournaments such as the National Rowing and Canoeing Championship, the 19th Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup Volleyball Tournament, the National First Division Football Championship, the V-League Football Championship, the National National Wrestling Championship, and many other important tournaments.
The Ninh Binh Provincial Athletes' Delegation has participated in 118 national and international sports competitions, bringing home impressive achievements with 1,047 medals of all kinds as of November 20, 2025. Specifically, the delegation has won 964 national medals (269 Gold Medals, 244 Silver Medals and 451 Bronze Medals) and 83 international medals (30 Gold Medals, 23 Silver Medals and 30 Bronze Medals).
In particular, the province's professional sports clubs have made historical marks:
Nam Dinh Green Steel Football Club won the V-League National Championship Cup for the second consecutive time in the 2024-2025 season, affirming its leading position ; Phu Dong Ninh Binh Football Club excellently won the National First Division Championship Cup, officially having the right to participate in the V-League season 2025/2026 and is currently playing impressively, ranking first in the table after 11 rounds.
Phong Phu Ha Nam Women's Football Team won the Silver Medal at the National U16 Women's Football Championship, the National U19 Gold Medal and the National Cup Bronze Medal ; Nam Dinh Green Steel U13 Football Team won the Gold Medal for the first time at the National Youth Football Championship and the National U17 Silver Medal, signaling a promising generation of young talents.
LP Bank Ninh Binh Women's Volleyball Team won the Championship Cup at the 19th Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup Volleyball Tournament and the Hung Vuong Cup Volleyball Tournament; and also won the Silver Medal at the Ca Mau Fertilizer Cup National Volleyball Championship.
2025 is a year full of success and pride for the sports movement in Ninh Binh province. The achievements are a testament to the deep concern of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, the efforts of the Department of Culture and Sports and the continuous contributions of athletes, coaches and the masses.
