In episode 10, she returns to Seoul and works part-time at a movie theater ticket counter, where she meets Park Cheong Seob (Kim Seon Ho), a movie poster artist. Their relationship gradually blossoms. Meanwhile, Geum Myeong's mother, Ae Sun, is constantly worried about her daughter being away from home. The situation culminates when Ae Sun visits and finds Geum Myeong unconscious from carbon monoxide poisoning caused by an electrical fault. In this critical situation, Ae Sun breaks down the door to save her daughter, and Park Cheong Seob, who happens to be nearby, takes Geum Myeong to the hospital, demonstrating his deep affection for her. These episodes also reveal the complicated relationship between Eun Myeong and Hyeon Seok, as Eun Myeong ends her relationship to protect Hyeon Seok from family violence.
Episodes 11 and 12 continue to explore the challenges in Geum Myeong's love life. Despite dating Yeong Bum since college, their relationship is hampered by strong opposition from Yeong Bum's mother. This ending offers renewed hope for Geum Myeong's love, while simultaneously closing a tumultuous chapter in her life.
Predicting the content of When Life Gives You Tangerines episodes 13-16

The episode opens with Geum Myeong standing in a pristine white wedding dress, her eyes sparkling with a mixture of joy and hesitation. She gently waves through the window, as if greeting a distant figure – perhaps Yeong Bum, her ex-boyfriend of seven years, or someone new in her life. The line echoes in her mind: "I don't know who I'll meet again or who I'll meet for the first time, but my heart still races."

The scene shifts to Geum Myeong on a bus, her gaze dreamily drifting out the window. She's on her way to a date, but it's unclear who it is – Park Cheong Seob, the man who once saved her, or someone completely new. Her glimmer of hope is dashed when she decides to return to Jeju, her hometown.

Here, viewers encounter Yang Gwan Sik, Geum Myeong's father, with a haggard face and deep, anxious eyes. The text appears: "An unforgettable winter is on its way." This hints that Gwan Sik may pass away, leading to the scene of Ae Sun sitting in a nursing home.

In the countryside, the New Year's atmosphere is lively with villagers gathering to watch fireworks on television. But that joy is quickly overshadowed by unexpected events that befall the characters in the film. The episode concludes with Geum Myeong sitting by the Jeju beach, her gaze distant, as if sensing a great loss approaching.

The upcoming episodes of When Life Gives You Tangerines may take viewers back to the beautiful memories of Gwan Sik and Ae Sun. A flashback shows them walking under a canopy of blooming cherry trees, with Gwan Sik quietly watching Ae Sun's radiant appearance.

The scene shifts to Geum Myeong attending the ceremony, and Gwan Sik speaks to her, repeating the same words he'd told her since childhood: "If anything goes wrong, just step back. I'll always be here for you."

The final episode opens with Geum Myeong walking down the aisle in her wedding dress, but the audience doesn't see the groom – only the back of a mysterious man. Gwan Sik's voice from the past echoes: "If anything goes wrong, just retreat; your father will always be here for you." Geum Myeong smiles, as if she has found the answer for herself.

The scene shifts to Geum Myeong receiving news that her father has been hospitalized. She rushes back to Jeju, running after the hospital bed being wheeled into the emergency room, tears streaming down her face.

In his delirium, Gwan Sik dreamt of the old days – when he waved goodbye to his wife and four children as they returned from the boat, when he and Ae Sun watched fireworks together on cold winter nights. But harsh reality pulled him back: the doctor informed him he had terminal lung cancer, and not much time left.

Gwan Sik passed away on a bitterly cold winter night, leaving Ae Sun and her two children in an irreplaceable void. The scene of Ae Sun sitting numbly in the hospital, her hands trembling as she clutched her husband's old coat, broke the hearts of viewers. She ran to the dock, a place once filled with happy family memories. Geum Myeong followed, embracing her mother tightly, both sobbing uncontrollably in the biting cold wind.
The episode alternates between Geum Myeong's grief over the loss of her father and the new pressures of life. Yeong Bum unexpectedly appears, begging her to come back, but Geum Myeong resolutely refuses: "You don't understand, your family has taken away my self-respect. I can't live with that." The final scene shows Ae Sun standing alone on the beach, gazing at the horizon, as if searching for Gwan Sik's figure amidst the waves.
The story shifts to Ae Sun's life after Gwan Sik's death. She begins working at a tangerine orchard in Jeju, a place that was once a shared dream of her and her husband. Despite lingering grief, Ae Sun gradually finds meaning in her remaining days. Geum Myeong becomes an artist, inspired by the paintings of Park Cheong Seob. One day, she unexpectedly encounters him at an art exhibition. They don't say much, simply standing together admiring a painting of Jeju, their eyes exchanging meaningful glances.

The episode concludes with Ae Sun sitting in the nursing home, a scene reminiscent of the opening sequence. She holds a tangerine in her hand, smiling softly as she remembers Gwan Sik. The words appear: "The four seasons have taken everything, but they have also left behind ripe tangerines. Just live, and you will live." Fireworks explode in the Jeju sky, a final farewell from Gwan Sik to his beloved family.
