Groundbreaking ceremony of Dinh Khao Bridge - a key traffic project to welcome the 14th National Party Congress

On December 3, Mr. Duong Van Phuc - Director of the Department of Construction said: The Provincial People's Committee has submitted to the Provincial Party Committee a proposal to add a list of large-scale and meaningful projects to organize groundbreaking and inauguration to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Notably, the Dinh Khao bridge project connecting Vinh Long - Ben Tre (old) is expected to hold a groundbreaking ceremony on December 19, 2025. This is a key traffic project, playing a particularly important role in promoting regional connectivity and socio-economic development of the province.

Perspective of Dinh Khao bridge.

According to Submission No. 597a/TTr-UBND dated November 28, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee, the Dinh Khao Bridge project is invested in the form of public-private partnership, proposed by the Provincial Traffic Project Management Board. The project has a starting point intersecting with DT902 route in Nhon Phu commune ( Vinh Long ), the end point connecting with National Highway 57 at Km11+270, the total length of the route is about 4.3km. The scale of the road is invested according to the standards of a grade III plain road, the design speed is 80km/h; the completion stage will reach a scale of 4 lanes.

Dinh Khao Bridge over Co Chien River was built with a completed bridge deck width of 17.5m. The project has a total investment of more than 2,852 billion VND, from investors, project enterprises and state capital.

Along with Dinh Khao bridge, the Provincial People's Committee also proposed to organize the groundbreaking ceremony of the social housing project in Long Chau ward and the inauguration of the Phu Thuan Industrial Park infrastructure project on the same occasion of December 19, 2025, contributing to the completion of the technical-social infrastructure system, serving the sustainable development goals of the province.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Committee has approved and submitted to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee the policy for the above-mentioned list of 3 large-scale projects, to register for inauguration and groundbreaking to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party.
