Construction begins on the Hai Phong road construction project in Hoa Nghia ward, Duong Kinh district.

(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the morning of December 20th, the People's Committee of Duong Kinh district held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Hai Phong road construction project in Hoa Nghia ward, Duong Kinh district.

The leaders attended the groundbreaking ceremony.

Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were: Mr. Dao Van Ninh, Secretary of the District Party Committee; Mr. Vu Binh Duong , Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the District People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Minh Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the District People's Committee; along with leaders of the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district, and representatives of relevant agencies, units, and localities.

The Hai Phong Road Construction Project in Hoa Nghia Ward, Duong Kinh District is a Group B project, a Class III transportation project, with a length of 915m, a roadbed width of 28m, a road surface width of 15m, sidewalks 5m wide x 2m wide, and a 3m wide median strip. The road surface is a flexible pavement – hot asphalt concrete. The project includes the complete construction of urban technical infrastructure: rainwater drainage, wastewater drainage, lighting system, road signs, sidewalks, and greenery. It also involves expanding the intersection with Road 353. The total investment for the project is over 146.8 billion VND. The project is expected to be completed in 2024.

This is one of three important projects that the city has invested in and implemented in the district from 2022 to the present. Upon completion, the Hai Phong and Dai Thang roads will transform the urban landscape of Hoa Nghia ward, meeting the needs of convenient transportation for residents in the district and surrounding areas; gradually meeting the criteria for a Type 1 urban area according to Decision No. 2392 dated December 5, 2013, of the City People's Committee on approving the detailed planning at a scale of 1/2000 for Duong Kinh district until 2025, and contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 3rd District Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term.
