Ensure 100% of assigned targets are met.
In 2022, the district's economy continued to develop, shifting its economic structure in line with the direction of the Resolution of the 3rd District Party Congress. During the year, the value of industry, handicrafts, and construction increased by 16.48%; the value of production in the trade and service sector increased by 18.52%.
Total district budget revenue is estimated at 672,186 billion VND, reaching 131% of the city's assigned plan. Of which, revenue in the area is estimated at 288.03 billion VND, reaching 114.3% of the city's assigned plan.
Entering 2023, the total accumulated state budget revenue in the first 3 months of the year achieved 195,785 billion VND, reaching 39.89% of the city's assigned plan.
The total production value in the first 3 months was 4,115.9 billion VND, reaching 25.28% of the plan, up 18.89% over the same period. The value of trade and services in March was 470 billion VND, the cumulative value in the first 3 months was 1,550 billion VND, reaching 26.96% of the plan, up 19.14% over the same period.
The value of agricultural, forestry, and fisheries products in March was 31.8 billion VND, with a cumulative total of 115.9 billion VND for the first three months, reaching 25.19% of the plan and increasing by 1.61% compared to the same period last year.
In the first 3 months of the year, the district also focused on directing the preparation of the best conditions for people to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2023 happily and safely. Directing care for policy families and social protection beneficiaries through visiting, giving gifts, and resolving policies in a timely manner, in accordance with regulations and without errors.
Timely assign targets and budget estimates for agencies and units to effectively implement tasks right from the first weeks and months of 2023. No violations of land and construction order; do a good job of propaganda and visual agitation; proactively deploy solutions to prevent human diseases, ensure good health care for the people; Resolutely direct from the beginning of the year on administrative reform and public discipline, digital transformation tasks.
In addition, the work of ensuring traffic safety and order, sidewalk order, environmental sanitation, land management and construction order has been directed with attention. The political security situation and social order and safety in the district are stable; the military recruitment work in 2023 has been well done, ensuring 100% of the assigned targets are met.

Boosting investment attraction
In the 2020-2025 term and the following years, Duong Kinh district sets the following goals: Promoting potential and advantages; promoting investment attraction, focusing on economic and urban development; building synchronous and modern technical infrastructure; aiming to build a civilized and modern Duong Kinh district.
The district is focusing on implementing two strategic breakthroughs: investing in the development of socio-economic infrastructure and transportation systems, and innovating and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of leadership; promoting administrative reform and building a team of officials and civil servants with the necessary qualities, qualifications, capabilities, and responsibilities to meet the demands of their tasks.
Determined to achieve these goals, since the 3rd District Party Congress, Duong Kinh has focused resources on urban development and investment attraction.
Specifically: Build and effectively promote the industrial cluster on Mac Dang Doanh and Pham Van Dong streets; encourage the shift to modern, high-tech industries in the direction of specialization, quality and sustainability.
In addition, review and propose adjustments to the overall socio-economic development plan and urban spatial plan. Coordinate with relevant departments and agencies to implement key infrastructure projects.
Currently, the district is implementing a number of projects such as: Hoa Binh Canal Road; Hai Phong and Dai Thang roads with a width of 25m; District Medical Center; at the same time, preparing to invest in large urban traffic projects such as: Central axis road, section from Le Chan district to Do Son district (50.5m road), road running parallel to Lach Tray river from Kien An district border to Pham Van Dong roundabout, Ring Road 3, Hai Thanh bridge (on Ring Road 3), Ring Road 2 with a length of 15km, width of 68m with a cost of 7,000 billion VND; Rao 3 Bridge project...
In addition, many large investors have surveyed and prepared to invest in projects such as: Vingroup project 200 hectares; Vietnam Real Estate Group project 2000 hectares; Him Lam Group 180 hectares; HauDinh Joint Stock Company 50 hectares; Giang Son Joint Stock Company 48 hectares.
To support businesses and investors, Duong Kinh will accelerate administrative reforms, focusing on citizens and businesses; and concentrate on coordinating land clearance. In addition, district leaders and departments will regularly engage in dialogue, listen to the opinions of businesses, and promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles related to land management and social welfare policies in the district. This will attract more investment from domestic and foreign investors, contributing to transforming the urban landscape of Duong Kinh district towards a modern and civilized direction.
