(PLVN) - Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) and the Joint Venture of PC1 Group Joint Stock Company - Power Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company 4 (Joint Venture PC1 - PECC4) have just held a signing ceremony of the Contract Package HH01-DZCĐ for Design, Supply of Equipment and Construction of Undersea Cable Section (EPC) under the Project of Supplying Electricity from the National Grid to Con Dao District, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province.

(PLVN) - Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) and the Joint Venture of PC1 Group Joint Stock Company - Power Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company 4 (Joint Venture PC1 - PECC4) have just held a signing ceremony of the Contract Package HH01-DZCĐ for Design, Supply of Equipment and Construction of Undersea Cable Section (EPC) under the Project of Supplying Electricity from the National Grid to Con Dao District, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, the representative of the Vietnam Electricity Group said that this is one of EVN's key projects to be implemented in 2025, with the entire project expected to be completed in 2026. Vietnam Electricity Group assigned the Power Project Management Board 3 and the EPC Contractor to manage the project, organize construction to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements, and focus resources and equipment to accelerate progress and complete the project according to the set plan.

The EPC package is the main package of the Project with the scope of work including design, equipment supply and construction of a 110 kV submarine cable line with a length of about 77.7 km from the sea transition point in Soc Trang to the landing point in Con Dao. In order to promote the internal strength of domestic enterprises, this package is organized to select contractors in the form of open domestic bidding.

After organizing the selection of bidding contractors, the contractor with the capacity and experience that was selected to win the bid was the Joint Venture of PC1 Group Joint Stock Company - Power Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company 4 (Joint Venture PC1 - PECC4).

EVN representative also said that during the investment preparation and implementation of the Project, EVN always received the attention and close direction of the Government, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of National Defense , State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, along with the support and close coordination of the People's Committees of Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Soc Trang provinces to develop a construction organization plan, select suitable contractors in accordance with regulations, ensuring requirements on security, safety and quality of the project.

The Project of supplying electricity from the national grid to Con Dao district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province (Project) has a total investment of VND 4,923,514 billion, with Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) as the Investor; Power Project Management Board 3 (EVNPMB3) is assigned as the Investor's representative.

After signing the EPC contract and implementing the construction, it is expected that in the fourth quarter of 2025, electricity will be supplied to Con Dao district from the national grid and the entire project is expected to be completed in 2026. The capital for the project is arranged from the State budget and EVN's counterpart capital.
