Fun Cup Windsurfing Tournament 2024 kicks off

BTO-On the morning of February 2, at Jibe's Beach Club, Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province, the 23rd Vietnam Fun Cup International Windsurfing Tournament 2024 officially kicked off. The tournament was organized by Jibe's Beach Club in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DOCST) of Binh Thuan province.

The Vietnam Fun Cup International Windsurfing Tournament was restarted to create a playground for domestic and foreign tourists and athletes who love this adventurous but attractive sport when coming to the coastal city of Phan Thiet. This year, the tournament attracted the participation of 19 athletes from 14 countries and territories around the world such as: Singapore, Japan, Finland, Vietnam, Denmark... The competition format of the tournament is applied according to the international competition rules for Winsurfing (windsurfing). All athletes compete in the form of groups, racing on the slalom track with a distance of 3,000m.

The 2024 Vietnam Fun Cup International Windsurfing Championship is an event that will help windsurfing in Vietnam develop rapidly and professionally with international standards. This is also an opportunity to promote the image of Binh Thuan with its strengths in tourism combined with sea sports to the world .

According to Mr. Pascal Lefebvre, Head of the Organizing Committee, we are very happy that the competition has been held again after 3 years due to the impact of the epidemic and has received great support from the local government. This year, the tournament still has the participation of professional athletes, many of whom have participated in the tournament many times. We hope that the tournament will be expanded in the following years.
