On December 5, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Department of Information Technology Industry (Ministry of Science and Technology), the Foreign Investment Agency ( Ministry of Finance ) and Quang Trung Software Park (QTSC), Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Support and Consulting Center (DXCenter) organized the Workshop "Promoting investment in concentrated digital technology parks".
The workshop aims to introduce the potential, advantages, preferential policies and investment cooperation opportunities in the Concentrated Digital Technology Park, a strategic model to promote digital economic development and innovation in Ho Chi Minh City.
This is also a forum connecting state management agencies, investors, technology enterprises, institutes, schools and investment support organizations, aiming to build a sustainable, dynamic and internationally integrated digital technology ecosystem.
In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Khac Lich, Director of the Department of Information Technology Industry, said that since 2006, when the model of concentrated information industrial parks was legalized and the Government issued Decree 154/2013/ND-CP, Vietnam has laid the first brick for today's concentrated digital technology park system.

To date, the system has yielded proud results, including eight concentrated digital technology zones established in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Can Tho.
Accordingly, it attracts more than 630 digital technology enterprises to operate, with more than 42,000 high-quality workers. Land use efficiency reaches about 10 million USD/ha/year, a very high level compared to other functional areas...
“These figures show that a concentrated digital technology park is not only a place where businesses operate, but also a place where value is created, where knowledge is nurtured and where innovation is strongly promoted,” Mr. Nguyen Khac Lich emphasized.
According to Mr. Nguyen Khac Lich, the world is witnessing a profound shift from information technology to digital technology, from application to innovation, from single software to a converging ecosystem of artificial intelligence (AI), data, semiconductors and breakthrough technologies.

In that context, Resolution 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation has identified the development of concentrated digital technology zones as one of the key solutions to promote science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.
This is not just a policy, but a strong message: Vietnam is ready to move fast and ahead in the digital age.
At the event, delegates said that developing a concentrated digital technology park is not about developing industrial real estate, but we are building an ecosystem where every business, from startups to global corporations, can innovate, experiment, develop and reach out to the world.
In the digital technology zone, businesses have access to optimal digital infrastructure, enjoy special incentive mechanisms, test technology in a sandbox, and work in an environment of constant innovation.
Participating in investing, developing and operating in concentrated digital technology zones means accompanying Vietnam on the journey of building a new generation of digital technology industrial infrastructure, the foundation for the country to make a breakthrough in the next 30 years.
Referring to the development orientation of Quang Trung Software Park - a model of digital technology park attracting world technology corporations, QTSC representative said that, aiming at the model of "Digital technology park - green, smart city", QTSC focuses on building a comprehensive ecosystem and developing breakthrough technology spearheads such as: digital infrastructure, cloud computing, big data, network security, digital human resources, innovation, startups...

QTSC's new orientation is completely consistent with Ho Chi Minh City's policy of expanding and forming many concentrated digital technology zones in the city, contributing to promoting the digital transformation process and developing the digital economy of the city.
Within the framework of the conference, the Organizing Committee also organized a technology exhibition to display and introduce digital transformation solutions, data center infrastructure, AI, IoT, information security, technology applications, smart cities, etc., creating a space for connection and sharing of implementation experiences between technology enterprises, investors and local representatives.
The workshop “Promoting investment in concentrated digital technology zones” marks an important step in connecting policies-enterprises-investors, towards forming and developing a concentrated digital technology zone ecosystem according to the direction of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the sustainable development strategy of Ho Chi Minh City.
