Director of Thanh Hoa Power Company Hoang Hai and his delegation inspected, visited, and encouraged workers to overcome the damage caused by Typhoon No. 5.
In response to this situation, on August 31, 2025, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province issued Decision No. 2952/QD-UBND declaring a state of emergency due to natural disaster in order to mobilize resources and quickly stabilize the lives of the people. Following the province's directive, on September 5, 2025, the Director of Thanh Hoa Power Company (PC Thanh Hoa), Hoang Hai, along with a delegation, visited Yen Nhan and Bat Mot communes to inspect and assess the extent of damage and the repair work on the power grid system damaged by Typhoon No. 5.

Presenting gifts to support the government and people of Yen Nhan and Bat Mot communes, the Director of Thanh Hoa Power Company, Hoang Hai, also informed the locality about the investment plan to upgrade the power grid from 0.4kV to 110kV, ensuring the goal of providing stable and reliable electricity for socio -economic development in the period 2025-2030, with a vision to 2045.

To ensure the effectiveness of construction investment projects, the company has sent a document to all communes and wards in the province. Thanh Hoa Power Company hopes to continue receiving the cooperation of all levels of government, especially in planning and allocating land for power projects, accelerating land clearance, and strengthening public awareness campaigns to ensure people strictly comply with regulations on safety in power grid corridors.
Mr. Hoang Hai, Director of Thanh Hoa Power Company, informed the local authorities about the investment plan to upgrade the power grid from 0.4kV to 110kV, ensuring the goal of providing stable and reliable electricity for socio-economic development in the period 2025-2030, with a vision to 2045.
Thanh Hoa Power Company will focus its resources on prioritizing projects to combat overload and ensure stable electricity supply in industrial parks, clusters, and rural areas; strengthen the application of digital technology to monitor and manage the power grid more effectively; and promote cooperation with local authorities in developing the power grid in conjunction with infrastructure planning, urban development, and new rural construction.
With proactive efforts in inspecting, assessing, and repairing damage after Typhoon No. 5, along with a strategic orientation towards comprehensively modernizing the power system, Thanh Hoa Power Company is affirming its important role in ensuring energy security, accompanying the government and people in overcoming challenges, and creating a solid foundation for sustainable socio-economic development in the coming years.
To meet practical requirements, based on the investment and construction plan for the period 2025-2026 and subsequent years, EVNNPC and PC Thanh Hoa are implementing a series of projects to renovate and upgrade the power grid from 0.4kV to 110kV. The goal is to ensure stable and reliable electricity supply for socio-economic development in the period 2025-2030, with a vision to 2045, improve service quality, reduce power losses, improve production and living conditions for people, and synchronize with the province's urban infrastructure development program and advanced new rural construction program. Since the beginning of 2025 alone, Thanh Hoa Power Company has been implementing 55 projects, including the construction, renovation, and upgrading of 388 load transformers, 721 km of medium-voltage lines, 448 km of low-voltage lines, and the installation of 100 circuit breakers with remote automatic control functions. This investment aims to improve voltage quality and increase power supply capacity to serve the production and business needs of customers in the province. In particular, the investment in the medium-voltage grid using a multi-splitting, multi-connection system combined with automatic, remote-controlled sectional circuit breakers has contributed to isolating faults and restoring power from multiple sources, minimizing the number of customers experiencing power outages during storms and natural disasters such as typhoons No. 3 and No. 5. |
