He was also associated with the Kim Cuong Drama Troupe, serving as the leader of the Youth Drama Group.

After the Kim Cuong theatrical troupe ceased operations, artist Viet Phuong switched to working as a music program editor at the Trong Dong stage. Artist Bich Lan became the MC, and together they created a nightly performance program, bringing many unique acts to the Trong Dong stage and introducing many young talents in various fields: music, circus, magic, dance, comedy, etc.
The funeral of artist Viet Phuong will be held at his private residence: 108 Street No. 13, Binh Tri Dong Ward, Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City. The procession will begin on September 2nd, followed by cremation at Binh Hung Hoa Crematorium.
