Lab2Market Demo Day: Accompanying the incubation and commercialization of inventions

DNVN - Lab2Market incubation program has the mission of commercializing inventions and scientific research results in Vietnamese universities according to international standards. The program has accompanied the incubation, acceleration, and investment of 24 research projects in Vietnam and abroad to bring inventions to market.

The "Lab2Market Demo Day 2024" event was held on September 19 with the aim of summarizing the Lab2Market Foundation 2024 program and paying tribute to the past 4 years. The event was organized by BK Holdings (Hanoi University of Science and Technology), BK Fund, Swiss EP, accompanied by NSSC, Hanoi University of Science and Technology Alumni Network, VNEI, and sponsored by Vingroup Innovation Foundation (VINIF - VINBIGDATA).

At the closing ceremony, BK Holdings leaders introduced the BK Holdings ecosystem and the Lab2Market journey. Accordingly, BK Holdings' incubation and investment methodology is applied directly through Lab2Market.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Dung - General Director of PK Holdings shared that BK Holdings' mission is to become a bridge connecting academia, researchers, scientists with businesses and industry. Lab2Market is one of the key programs for BK Holdings to promote the commercialization of research results....

Since 2017, we have been working with experts to research incubation programs according to international standards, find out the differences and localize them to have an incubation program according to international standards but suitable for Vietnam.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Dung - General Director of PK Holdings shared at the event.

“PK Holdings has also learned from many innovative schools in the world, such as Singapore, Israel... We realize that Vietnam cannot copy any model in the world but must research and adjust it to suit reality with experts and entrepreneurs,” said Mr. Dung.

Also at the event, 3 Lab2Market Foundation 2024 groups, Blife, BK BIO, and SINHTECH, presented their projects. In addition, previous Lab2Market incubation groups (2021-2023) also had the opportunity to share, discuss, and receive feedback from the community, helping them to perfect and develop their ideas in a comprehensive and sustainable way.

Lab2Market is the first national key incubation program in Vietnam launched in 2021. The program has accompanied the incubation, acceleration, and investment of 24 research projects in Vietnam and abroad to bring inventions to market.

Over a 4-year journey, from 2021-2022, Lab2Market launched incubation season 1 with the participation of 12 research groups from 06 key universities in Vietnam. In 2022 - 2023, Lab2Market implemented incubation season 2 with 7 research groups from Vietnam and 1 group from Singapore.

From 2023 - 2024, Lab2Market has activated the pre-incubation program "Lab2Market Foundation 2024" with the participation of 3 research groups from 2 universities, Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
