Lam Dong does not consider transferring Cam Ly Hydropower Plant Project

Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee does not consider transferring the project or adjusting the change of investor from Viet Hung Construction Joint Stock Company No. 1 to Cam Ly Hydropower Company Limited to implement the Cam Ly Hydropower Plant Project.

On May 6, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee informed that the Provincial People's Committee did not consider transferring the project or adjusting the change of investor from Viet Hung Construction Joint Stock Company No. 1 to Cam Ly Hydropower Company Limited to implement the Cam Ly Hydropower Plant Project as proposed by the Department of Planning and Investment.

The reason given by the Provincial People's Committee is that it does not meet the transfer conditions as prescribed in Clause 1, Article 46 of the Investment Law and Investment Policy Decision No. 1834/QD-UBND dated August 28, 2019 of the Provincial People's Committee.

The Provincial People's Committee requested Viet Hung Construction Joint Stock Company No. 1 to urgently contact relevant departments, branches and localities to complete compensation, site clearance, land lease procedures, land use purpose conversion, and related procedures to implement the project according to regulations; focus resources as committed to invest in the Cam Ly Hydropower Plant project items according to the provisions of the approved investment policy decision.

The Provincial People's Committee also requested Viet Hung Construction Joint Stock Company No. 1 to conduct an investment supervision report according to regulations; at the same time, assign the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Industry and Trade, Da Lat City People's Committee and related departments and branches to coordinate with investors in implementing compensation, site clearance, land lease procedures, land use purpose conversion and related procedures according to regulations to serve as a basis for implementing investment in Cam Ly Hydropower Plant.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to monitor and urge investors to promptly implement the project and put the project into operation according to regulations; promptly report to the Provincial People's Committee any arising issues (if any).
