From early morning, the youth union members of the Department of Health and the Provincial Social Insurance Youth Union were present at the Phong Hau Village Cultural House (Van Hoa Commune), carrying medicine in their hands and medical equipment on their shoulders, preparing for a special volunteer day, a day when their expertise is dedicated to the community.
More than 250 people, mostly the elderly, women and children, received health check-ups, dedicated consultations and free medicine. The worried looks when arriving were replaced by reassuring smiles when leaving, because they received not only medicine but also the care and sharing of young hearts.

Ms. Le Thi Sang (68 years old, Hoa Binh village) was moved: “It has been a long time since I had such a thorough health check-up. The children not only worked very professionally but also asked thoughtful questions and encouraged each person. In our hometown, the elderly rarely have the conditions to go for regular check-ups, so today's free check-up is truly precious."
Not only providing health care, the union members also provided advice on social insurance and health insurance; supported the implementation of criminal records on the VNeID application; and disseminated to the people measures to prevent and combat dengue fever and some infectious diseases. Along with that, 30 gifts of necessities were given directly to the needy households as a word of encouragement and sharing in the midst of life's hustle and bustle.
Mr. Le Cap Tan, Deputy Head of the Department of Culture and Society , Van Hoa Commune People's Committee, assessed: "Van Hoa is a commune with many households still in difficulty, access to quality medical services or limited understanding of social insurance and health insurance. This program not only helps people receive health care right at their place of residence, but also supports access to public services and important information. In particular, the union members have worked with a high sense of responsibility, dedication, and enthusiasm, leaving a good impression on the people. The local government hopes that in the coming time, it will continue to receive the attention and support of union organizations, so that many similar programs can come to the people of Van Hoa".
The “Pink Holiday” campaign is an important highlight in the series of volunteer activities of cadres, civil servants, public employees and young workers, an opportunity for young people to promote their professional expertise and contribute to the community right from their daily work. Thereby creating a positive impact on awareness and inspiring action for youth union members.
Working at the Central Highlands General Hospital and having participated in many charity medical examination activities, Dr. Dang Viet Nam confided: “Primary health care is very important because it helps screen, classify and guide people to the right specialist, avoiding difficult and costly travel. Through free medical examinations like this, we can guide people to monitor their health and promptly treat any abnormal signs. The first time I went to examine and provide health advice to people in the East of the province, I not only met and directly supported the people but also had the opportunity to exchange, connect and share expertise with colleagues here, it was a very meaningful experience. Trips like this help me love my job more, giving me more motivation to stick with it and contribute.”
Mr. Bui Duc Tho, Secretary of the Provincial Social Insurance Youth Union, said: “In rural areas, many people are not familiar with using technology and are confused when looking up or submitting documents online. Therefore, we guide them step by step, from installing the application, registering an account to looking up the insurance payment process, registering for medical examination and treatment without using paper cards. This is also an opportunity for insurance union members to get closer to the people, listen and understand their actual needs, thereby providing more effective support.”
The campaign's series of activities has left a deep impression on the hearts of local people and the young people who participated. More than a volunteer activity, it is a connection between the hearts, sense of responsibility and aspiration to contribute of the youth of the new era.
