On the evening of October 29th, the People's Committee of Dinh Hoa district organized the 2024 Festival of Cultural Colors of Ethnic Groups in the Dinh Hoa ATK (Anti-French Resistance Zone). This is one of the practical activities to celebrate the awarding of the Third-Class Labor Medal and the announcement of the decision recognizing the district as having achieved the new rural standard in 2023.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Pham Quang Sang, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dinh Hoa District, stated that Dinh Hoa is a mountainous district of Thai Nguyen province, home to 17 ethnic groups, with ethnic minorities accounting for over 73% of the district's population. These ethnic groups live together, united and supportive of each other's economic and social development. Their diverse customs, traditions, and cultures form an important foundation for Dinh Hoa District to focus on developing cultural tourism and community tourism.
Mr. Pham Quang Sang - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dinh Hoa district and Mr. Nguyen Tung Lam - Head of the Tourism Management Department (Thai Nguyen Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism) presented flowers and flags to the clubs participating in the ceremony.
Over the years, Dinh Hoa district has identified the preservation and promotion of cultural values as a key task. For many years, it has issued projects to implement these tasks and achieved many important results; in the period 2021-2025, Dinh Hoa district is developing the Project "Developing community tourism associated with the preservation and promotion of the traditional cultural and historical values of ethnic groups in Dinh Hoa district, 2021-2025".
The performances showcased the distinctive cultural characteristics of the ethnic minority groups.
Simultaneously, resources from national target programs will be mobilized and integrated for implementation, especially the effective implementation of the National Target Program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in Dinh Hoa district, specifically Project 6 "Preserving and promoting the valuable traditional culture of ethnic minorities in conjunction with tourism development".
Currently, Dinh Hoa district has 26 cultural and artistic clubs.
Through the implementation of cultural preservation programs and projects, awareness among the people has been raised, guiding and promoting the voluntary role of the people in preserving cultural heritage within the community, and using cultural heritage to develop the local economy through tourism activities.
The performances brought many enjoyable emotions to the viewers.
"The program is organized to honor and promote the value of intangible cultural heritage, to commend amateur actors, artisans, and folk culture and arts clubs for their contributions to the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage values, and to create a beneficial platform for clubs and the people to exchange experiences, continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of cultural and arts activities at the grassroots level; contributing to maintaining, developing, and spreading the value of folk culture and arts," Mr. Pham Quang Sang shared.
Over the years, Dinh Hoa district has identified the preservation and promotion of cultural values as a key priority.
The ATK Dinh Hoa Ethnic Cultural Festival featured numerous performances showcasing the rich cultural identity of various ethnic groups, with diverse and vibrant songs, dances, and movements creating an emotionally charged artistic program.
