To commemorate the 99th anniversary of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2024), on the afternoon of June 18, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee held a cordial meeting with leaders and reporters from central press agencies representing and residing in Thanh Hoa , as well as provincial press agencies.

Attending the meeting were: Comrade Do Trong Hung, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Comrade Do Minh Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Comrade Trinh Tuan Sinh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee; representatives of provincial departments and agencies; and representatives of central press agencies based in Thanh Hoa, as well as provincial press agencies.

On behalf of the provincial leadership, Provincial Party Secretary Do Trong Hung respectfully extends his best wishes to the journalists working at media agencies in Thanh Hoa province on the occasion of the 99th anniversary of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press Day.
The Provincial Party Secretary stated: For many years, the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day has not only been a celebration for journalists, but has also become a day for the entire society to express its appreciation for the revolutionary press and for the reporters and journalists of the Vietnamese revolutionary press. Especially in the current era of integration and development, the role of the revolutionary press is increasingly emphasized and valued.
Regarding some of Thanh Hoa province's outstanding achievements in the first months of 2024, Provincial Party Secretary Do Trong Hung stated: Despite facing many difficulties and challenges, Thanh Hoa province has achieved many important results in economic development and ensuring social welfare. The growth rate is estimated at 11.5%, ranking third nationwide. The size of the economy ranks eighth nationwide. Many social welfare programs, especially those caring for the poor and vulnerable, have been implemented, creating a positive impact and public opinion.
The Provincial Party Secretary affirmed: The achievements of the Party Committee, the government, and all strata of the people of Thanh Hoa province have been significantly contributed to by the team of reporters and journalists from news agencies, newspapers, and publishing houses; who have always supported and accompanied the development of Thanh Hoa province in the past. Through their writing and creativity, journalists have promptly and truthfully reflected the developments of social life; both encouraging and motivating new factors and models, while also criticizing and reminding about shortcomings.
Provincial Party Secretary Do Trong Hung stated: Thanh Hoa province is currently blessed with many favorable conditions and opportunities for development, but also faces numerous difficulties and challenges. The province's goal for 2024 is to achieve double-digit growth or higher. This is a very large and demanding task with many things to do and strive for. Provincial Party Secretary Do Trong Hung hopes that reporters and journalists will continue to prioritize "truthfulness"; acknowledge and accurately assess what Thanh Hoa has achieved; and continue to truthfully and objectively reflect on existing shortcomings in a constructive spirit. The leaders of Thanh Hoa province are always ready to address issues raised by the press, so that achievements will grow and shortcomings will diminish; and so that Thanh Hoa can soon become a model province as President Ho Chi Minh envisioned.
Comrade Pham Van Bau, Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Provincial Radio and Television Station, and Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Journalists Association, delivered a speech at the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, representatives of the press agencies expressed their sincere gratitude for the attention of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to journalists; and congratulated Thanh Hoa province on the outstanding results achieved in the first months of 2024. Representatives of the press agencies highly appreciated the Thanh Hoa provincial leadership's timely response and guidance in addressing issues reflected in the press, especially prominent and pressing issues in social life within the province. They also expressed their hope to continue receiving the attention and support of all levels and sectors of Thanh Hoa province, and to cooperate with news agencies and the press to promote the image of Thanh Hoa's land and people, and its development to friends both domestically and internationally.
