On the afternoon of May 10, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh chaired a dialogue conference to remove difficulties and promote high-tech activities at Hoa Lac High-Tech Park (CNC) with the participation of leaders of many ministries, functional agencies and investors operating at Hoa Lac CNC Park.
This is the first time that Hanoi leaders have met, listened to and had a dialogue with investors operating in Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, after Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park was transferred from the Ministry of Science and Technology to the Hanoi People's Committee in November 2023.
Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh stated that this transfer is a new milestone after 25 years of building and developing Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park. During the transfer process, Hanoi always emphasizes the principle of ensuring that all activities of the Hi-Tech Park are not interrupted, and do not affect the organizational structure and ideology of the Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park Management Board, as well as businesses, organizations and investors operating here.
To date, Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park has attracted 109 investment projects (including 95 domestic projects and 14 foreign investment projects), with a total registered investment capital of about VND 115,500 billion, the rate of projects registered for investment in this Hi-Tech Park is about 40%. Of which, many projects have come into operation, creating jobs for about 14,500 skilled workers, with revenue in 2023 reaching about VND 30,000 billion.
“This figure is remarkable, especially in the context of investment in developing a new model like Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park facing many difficulties and challenges. However, the results are not really commensurate with the potential and expectations,” said Mr. Tran Sy Thanh. At the same time, he affirmed that the Hanoi government is committed to always accompanying the business community, entrepreneurs, organizations and enterprises to create a new attraction, new momentum and new spirit for Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park.
