Provincial People's Committee leaders work with the Department of Health

On August 24, comrade Nguyen Long Bien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, had a working session with the Department of Health on the results of implementing health tasks in the past 7 months and key tasks in the last months of 2023. Attending were leaders of relevant departments, branches and units.

In the first 7 months of 2023, the Department of Health coordinated with functional branches and People's Committees of districts and cities to strictly implement the directives of the Government, the Prime Minister , ministries and central branches on epidemic prevention and control; promptly and fully implement key tasks of the health sector; gradually perfect the organization of the Department of Health and its affiliated units. Basic health and population work met the assigned targets; food safety and hygiene work was focused, no cases of food poisoning occurred. The Provincial General Hospital and treatment facilities deployed many new treatment techniques, continued to implement the Satellite Hospital Project and Project 1816; at the same time, transferred some techniques to the district level, contributing to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment.

Concluding the working session, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Health sector to be more determined in directing and operating in the last months of the year, striving to achieve and exceed the planned targets set in 2023. Specifically: Proactively monitor to advise the Provincial People's Committee to direct resolutely, effectively control hand, foot and mouth disease, dengue fever and other epidemics; strengthen health education and communication, raise awareness of disease prevention and control. Continue to implement activities to ensure food hygiene and safety, especially for food service establishments and street food businesses to limit food poisoning cases, while creating street beauty and attracting tourists. Have proactive solutions to disburse public investment capital, prioritize implementation and disbursement of capital for national target programs (MTQG) in 2023; Supervise and support districts and cities in implementing the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction and the National Target Program on Socio -Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas. Continue to improve hospital quality; effectively implement the digital transformation plan in the health sector, solutions to improve administrative reform indicators; implement solutions to ensure medicine, equipment, medical supplies, and prevent drug shortages in medical examination and treatment...
