Thuy Linh is the remaining hope of the home team.

In the quarter-finals, Thuy Linh (number 1 seed, world rank 18) defeated Thai tennis player - Nithittikrai (world rank 80) with a score of 2-1.

Previously, Vietnam's number 1 female tennis player came from behind to win 2-1 against Malaysian opponent Kisona Selvaduray in round 2 and defeated Liang Ting Yu (Chinese Taipei) in round 1.

Thuy Linh's opponent in the semi-finals is Korean tennis player Kim Min Ji (ranked 123rd in the world).

Despite his low ranking, the Korean player played very well from the beginning of the tournament, most notably eliminating Thailand's 7th seed Kleebyeesun in the second round.

If she defeats Kim Min Ji, Thuy Linh will meet the winner of the remaining semi-final between Cai Yan Yan (China, world rank 107) and Ashmita Chaliha (India, world rank 211).

In addition to going to Nguyen Du Stadium to buy tickets, fans can watch the semi-final matches of Vietnam Open 2025 on HTV Sports channel, starting at 1:00 p.m. this afternoon.
