The Hollywood Reporter recently published a review of season 3 of the TV series The White Lotus. In addition to compliments about the acting, the American newspaper also expressed dissatisfaction and harshly criticized the film's promotion by taking advantage of the actor's name. Lisa - member of the group BLACKPINK.

Specifically, according to this newspaper, The White Lotus has a superficial approach to Thai traditions despite filming in this country and promoting the Thai setting heavily before the premiere. The crew even constantly mentioned Lisa's appearance as a TV actress. However, the truth is that the K-Pop idol's role is quite vague and only revolves around the "fragile love story" between her character and another employee at the resort.

Not stopping there, the article continued to criticize the film for not being able to highlight the Thai characters with the current plot. In the main rhythm of the film, there was almost no presence of the "youngest" BLACKPINK even though she was recognized and praised for her acting potential.

Meanwhile, audiences have mixed opinions on Lisa's lackluster appearance. Some expressed outrage at the idol being used as a "PR stunt" for the film, but many others said it was a suitable role for her debut. Moreover, based on some initial reviews, it seems the Thai star is perfectly suited for the role.
