Long An: Suspected brother-in-law murdered sister-in-law, dumped body in ditch

On April 13, Long An Provincial Police said they were conducting an autopsy to investigate the cause of death of Ms. NTTH (born in 1997, residing in Tan Lap commune, Moc Hoa district, Long An) in a sewer in Ward 2, Kien Tuong town (Long An).

According to initial information, at noon of the same day, residents of Ward 2, Kien Tuong town discovered Ms. H's body under a drainage culvert at Ong Chay canal and reported it to the authorities. Through verification, the victim was Ms. NTTH (27 years old, residing in Tan Lap commune, Moc Hoa district, Long An).

Immediately after that, Le Thanh Cuong (born in 1992, living in the same Tan Lap commune, Moc Hoa district), Ms. H.'s brother-in-law, went to Kien Tuong town police station to confess. He confessed to the police that due to a family conflict, he had asked Ms. H. to come to the above area to kill her, then drowned her body in a ditch.

Currently, the authorities are continuing to investigate and clarify the case.
