Long An: Suspected brother-in-law murdered sister-in-law, dumped body in ditch

On April 13th, the Long An Provincial Police announced that they are conducting a post-mortem examination and investigating the cause of death of Ms. NTTH (born in 1997, residing in Tan Lap commune, Moc Hoa district, Long An province) who was found dead in a drainage ditch in Ward 2, Kien Tuong town (Long An).

The scene of the incident

According to initial information, at noon on the same day, residents of Ward 2, Kien Tuong town, discovered the body of Ms. H. in a drainage ditch on Ong Chay canal road and reported it to the authorities. Verification revealed the victim to be Ms. NTTH (27 years old, residing in Tan Lap commune, Moc Hoa district, Long An province).

Shortly afterward, Le Thanh Cuong (born in 1992, residing in Tan Lap commune, Moc Hoa district), the brother-in-law of Ms. H., surrendered to the Kien Tuong town police. He confessed to the police that due to family conflicts, he had arranged to meet Ms. H. in the aforementioned area to murder her, then dumped her body in a ditch.

Authorities are currently continuing their investigation to clarify the case.
