Long An strengthens investment promotion in Europe

NDO - To attract investment in the field of green transformation and high technology, from November 12 to 21, Long An Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Duoc was the Head of the trade and investment promotion delegation in France, Belgium, and Germany at the invitation of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).


On November 12, in France, the delegation had a working session with the Chairman of Sotelanche Freysinet Group - the world's leading group in cable-stayed structure technology and structures of transport infrastructure, civil and industrial construction works.

Talking with the Group, Vice Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee Huynh Van Son informed that transport infrastructure is a lever for the province's economy , so Long An prioritizes allocating resources to complete major transport projects to accelerate investment attraction and promote the economy.

Accordingly, Long An has been focusing on implementing and completing ahead of schedule key national traffic projects and inter-regional connectivity projects such as Tan An City Belt Road, provincial roads 823D, 830E, 827E,

In particular, provincial road 827E connecting Ho Chi Minh City-Long An-Tien Giang is identified as the driving axis, completing procedures to divide investment into projects of access roads and 3 bridges across Can Giuoc, Vam Co Dong, and Vam Co Tay rivers.

For the project of 3 bridges on provincial road 827E, the Government has approved the project proposal to use foreign preferential loans (ODA), with a total investment of about 4,797 billion VND.

With its scale and high technical requirements, this project is suitable for the capacity and experience of pioneering construction technology corporations such as Sotelanche Freyssinet Group.

After the working session with Soletanche Freyssinet Group, the Long An province delegation surveyed the Metro Grand Paris Express project, one of the largest transport infrastructure projects in France today.

According to the schedule, on November 13, the delegation will attend the Vietnam-France trade and investment seminar with the participation of many French businesses and investors interested in Vietnam; meet with diplomatic agencies and business organizations of France and Vietnam.

In the following days, the Long An delegation will organize a Long An-Cologne business roundtable; work with the Vietnam-Belgium Alliance.

In addition, the Long An delegation will work bilaterally with leaders and leading corporations in France, Belgium and Germany in the fields of transportation, energy, industry, etc.; and attend a dialogue program on Vietnamese capital in Frankfurt.

This is a connection program to attract financial investment, investment for green transformation projects in the Vietnamese market in general, Long An province in particular; at the same time, helping Long An province expand international relations with partners in Europe, promote economic cooperation, attract investment in green transformation projects, and actively contribute to the shift of foreign direct investment (FDI) capital into Long An.
