Long Chau and Organon elevate strategic cooperation for Vietnamese women's reproductive health

The event marks an important step forward in efforts to expand access to reproductive health care solutions for Vietnamese women. By improving the quality of consultation, treatment support and medical access, the two sides are committed to working together to build a comprehensive, humane and sustainable health care system – for a healthier Vietnam.

The signing ceremony between Long Chau and Organon took place in the context of Vietnam - United States celebrating 30 years of diplomatic relations. The cooperation between Long Chau and Organon - a typical representative of the US pharmaceutical industry, not only marks a step forward for Vietnamese women's health, but also reflects the spirit of companionship, respect and mutual development between businesses of the two countries. This is also a clear demonstration of the efforts of Vietnamese businesses in integrating into the global cooperation flow, creating humane, sustainable and meaningful values for the community.

In Vietnam, nearly 6/10 pregnancies are unwanted and 3/4 of abortions result from these cases. More worryingly, unwanted pregnancies and high abortion rates not only affect physical health, but also leave lasting psychological trauma, silently reducing the quality of life and happiness of women. Faced with this situation, Long Chau and Organon Vietnam have established a strategic partnership, contributing to building a comprehensive reproductive health care ecosystem, bringing practical and sustainable changes to the community.

Through the cooperation program, the two sides aim to spread essential knowledge about proactive care, improve consulting skills for professional pharmacists, and support the female community to access appropriate and safe contraceptive solutions. This is also a commitment that the two units together aim to inspire a proactive spirit in health care and empower each woman.

Women deserve access to quality, modern medical services regardless of whether they live in urban or remote areas. The first is an intensive training program and workshops to improve professional capacity for more than 18,000 pharmacists in the Long Chau pharmacy system nationwide. Not only accessing updated knowledge on reproductive health, the medical team is also equipped with consulting skills and support tools to become reliable companions with women on their journey of proactive health care. Along with that, 2,222 pharmacies in the system will ensure the widespread distribution of standard, safe and reasonably priced contraceptive products, helping all women have the opportunity to access suitable solutions.
