According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment (DARD) of Tay Ninh province, up to now, the total area affected by floods is more than 800 hectares, of which nearly 630 hectares of rice were flooded (605 hectares were completely lost), 107 hectares of fruit trees (104 hectares were completely lost) and 86 hectares of vegetables and short-term crops were washed away.

Currently, this area is still deeply flooded, "threatening" nearly 9,300 hectares of other crops. In Vinh Chau commune, Chairman of the People's Committee Nguyen Van Chi said that this year's water level is about half a meter higher than the 2024 flood peak, many sections of the dike have overflowed. The commune has asked water vehicles to reduce speed when traveling on canals to limit waves from flooding into the fields. The whole commune has nearly 7,900 hectares of 10-50 day old rice, of which hundreds of hectares are threatened by floods. People have to mobilize vehicles and materials to reinforce and raise the dike surface, but if the water continues to rise, flood control will face many difficulties.

Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Tay Ninh province, Dinh Thi Phuong Khanh, said that the local government has mobilized military forces, militia and people to urgently reinforce the dike to protect the unharvested autumn-winter rice fields. The forces and people are working day and night, contributing labor and materials to maintain the dike, save the rice, and minimize damage.

In Hung Dien commune, floodwaters are threatening to overflow some low dike sections, potentially inundating about 300 hectares of rice nearing harvest. The Command of Song Trang Border Guard Station has dispatched two working groups with dozens of officers and soldiers to coordinate with the authorities and people to reinforce and compact the weak dike positions to prevent water from overflowing.

Along with flood prevention, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Tay Ninh province is coordinating with localities to review and count damages, propose plans to support people to overcome consequences, stabilize production and protect irrigation systems from unusual weather developments.
