
The Provincial Journalists Association currently has 4 affiliated journalist branches : the Provincial Radio and Television Branch, the Dien Bien Phu Newspaper Branch, the Association Office Journalists Branch, and the Provincial Literature and Arts Journalists Branch, with a total of 146 members.
Throughout the year, the Provincial Journalists Association and its affiliated branches carried out numerous activities aimed at uniting and motivating members in their lives, professional work, and journalistic activities, ensuring adherence to the Party's political and ideological direction, the State's laws, and the Code of Ethics for Vietnamese Journalists. They actively and proactively contributed to the media's goal of providing timely, complete, and comprehensive information on the province's political, economic, social, defense, security, and foreign affairs.

Journalists' associations have innovated their activities to gather, unite, and motivate cadres and members to successfully complete their tasks; discussing solutions to improve the quality of radio and television programs, and the quality of print media, special publications, and magazines. In addition, the Association has encouraged journalist members to participate in central and local journalism competitions: the Dien Bien province's second phase of the "Learning and Following the Ideology, Morality, and Style of Ho Chi Minh" literary, artistic, and journalistic works competition on the theme "Studying and Following the Ideology, Morality, and Style of Ho Chi Minh " competition (2023-2025); the 4th National Journalism Award on Anti-Corruption and Negative Phenomena in 2022-2023; and the Dien Bien province's Journalism Award on Party Building (Golden Hammer and Sickle Award) in 2023…

In 2024, the Provincial Journalists Association set out 12 key tasks. These included advising the Provincial People's Committee on successfully organizing the 3rd Dien Bien Provincial Journalism Award with the theme " The Dien Bien Epic Resounds Forever "; focusing on training and improving the professional skills, professionalism, and social responsibility of journalists.
On this occasion, the Provincial Journalists Association also launched the 3rd Dien Bien Provincial Journalism Award - 2024 with the theme: "The heroic epic of Dien Bien will forever resound".

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Vu A Bang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, acknowledged and highly appreciated the Provincial Journalists Association and its affiliated branches for successfully fulfilling their assigned political tasks in 2023. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that the Journalists Association and media agencies, officials, reporters, and journalists in the province continue to further enhance their management role, regularly focusing on training, nurturing, and caring for journalists and media professionals with strong political qualities, excellent professional skills, and impeccable professional ethics. At the same time, they must always be a core and important force in the fight against corruption, waste, and negative practices; and continue to organize the annual Provincial Journalism Award effectively to honor, encourage, and promptly reward outstanding journalists...
On this occasion, the Provincial Journalists Association awarded the title "Outstanding Journalist Member at the Grassroots Level in 2023" to 6 individuals; presented Certificates of Commendation from the Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association to 11 individuals and 2 collectives for their outstanding achievements in the emulation movement in 2023. At the same time, Certificates were awarded to 23 high-quality journalistic works in 2023.
