Although the Lebanese futsal team had "no way back", they could only dominate the field for the first 5 minutes. However, the Vietnamese players did a good job of defending by playing fast and close, leaving the opponent with little space to coordinate and move without the ball. Conversely, Lebanon, trailing, could only play defensively to limit further goals, hoping to "squeeze through the narrow gap" and qualify for the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship as the best-performing second-placed team.

It can be said that the Vietnamese futsal team has shown the true class of a team that has participated in the Futsal World Cup twice and is ranked in the number 1 seed group, when they won all 3 matches in Group E of the 2026 Asian Futsal Qualifiers. Coach Giustozzi's team won Hong Kong 9-1, defeated host China (mainland) 7-2, and defeated Lebanon 4-0. The Vietnamese futsal team won 9 absolute points, winning a ticket to the 2026 Asian Futsal Finals with the top position in Group E. With this excellent achievement, the Vietnamese futsal team was awarded 600 million VND by the VFF.

The 2026 AFC Futsal Championship will take place from January 27th to February 7th, 2026 in Jakarta, Indonesia. The tournament will bring together 16 of the continent's strongest futsal teams, including 15 teams that qualified through the preliminary rounds and host nation Indonesia, who received a bye. The teams are divided into 4 groups (4 teams per group), playing a round-robin format to determine points and rankings. The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final.

A very good news for Vietnamese audiences is that the broadcasting copyright of the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship has been owned by K+. All matches of the Finals, including Vietnam's matches, will be broadcast on K+ channels.
