MC Lai Van Sam choked up, performing musical for the first time with Hong Van and Hong Dao

Episode 3 of the program Co hen cung thanh xuan brings MC Lai Van Sam, People's Artist Hong Van, Hong Dao, Thanh Thuy, and diplomat Lai Ngoc Doan the challenge of bringing joy for 1 day to students of Hope School.

Hope School is a gathering place for students whose parents have died due to COVID-19. They come to school with a lack of both material things and love from their parents. Some have to witness their father or mother in pain and despair because of their miserable life.

With the desire to alleviate the disadvantages of children, the guests of Co Hen Cung Thanh Xuan have the task of being tour guides for the children during a 1-day tour of Hoi An.

In this challenge, the guests were divided into 2 teams to take the children to experience the culture and cuisine of Hoi An ancient town. Since accepting the challenge and knowing the circumstances of the Hope school students, the guests decided to bring a lot of joy and comfort, carefree to the children instead of doing the challenge as a charity program.

With that spirit, MC Lai Van Sam enthusiastically fulfilled his role as tour guide to the point that he had to change two shirts because he sweated so much.

At the end of the day, the guests had to organize a home-grown performance to bring joy to the students of Hope School in the most complete way.

This is the first time MC Lai Van Sam performs a musical.

Before entering the program, male MC Lai Van Sam shared: "I have participated in hundreds, thousands of TV programs, directly and indirectly, but I have never sweated as much as this.

My partners are all terrible people. But I will try my best for the children, for Hope."

The male MC's sharing received enthusiastic cheers from Hope School students. After the Saxophone solo performance by diplomat Lai Ngoc Doan and the musical performance by the trio Hong Dao, Hong Van, and Lai Van Sam, the male MC humorously revealed:

"After the program ended, we all felt relieved. I was confused from 3pm until now, as Ms. Hong Van said."

People's Artist Hong Van revealed: "I have to praise Mr. Sam, he is a very shy person. He has never acted in a play in his entire life."

MC Lai Van Sam choked up as he shared with Hope School students.

After the musical, the artists heard from the school’s most disadvantaged students. The worries and heavy thoughts of students who lost both parents to COVID-19 moved the guests to tears.

At the end of the program, MC Lai Van Sam was so moved that he had to choke up for a long time before he could share: "I sat and thought about many things. There is a Russian song called Hope, in which the chorus is "My hope is the compass that guides me on this earth. It will lead me to the right paths.

Success only comes because of courage. Just one song in every house, that is the song of Hope". He told the children: "As long as we have hope, we will have everything".

The meaningful and sincere sharing of MC Lai Van Sam brought many emotions to the audience and students of Hope School. The program ended with a lingering echo of the hope that the guests had kindled in the hearts of the students as well as the audience.
