The competition, organized by the Vietnam Animal Protection Association - Vietnam Cat Association, took place over two days, November 2nd and 3rd, aiming to find the cats that would win the titles of World Champion and World Master.
Besides the participation of more than 50 domestic cat breeds, there were also 30 cats from abroad with diverse breeds, including many cats that have achieved international titles.
This prestigious "cat beauty pageant" not only promotes the development of professional breeding but also serves as a platform to spread a message of love for animals to the community.
At the same time, it also conveys the message that cats will become companion animals, helping to heal and nurture the souls of future generations; ensuring biosafety when keeping cats in urban areas.

This year's judging panel includes individuals from countries such as Germany, Latvia, and the Netherlands. In this pet contest, cats of the same breed will compete against each other to find the most beautiful cat. Then, the most beautiful cats from each breed will compete again to find the most beautiful cat (likened to finding the queen of queens).
Cat evaluation criteria are based on appearance, health, and friendliness, conforming to international standards.

Bringing her over one-year-old Ragdoll cat named Soup to the competition for the first time, Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Lan (25 years old, residing in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City) said that before the competition, the cat was taken to a pet spa for grooming, care, and training in preparation for the show.
"I have three cats, but Soup is more outgoing than the other two, so I bring her along. I mainly go to shows for fun and to learn more about different cat breeds, as well as to gain experience and learn useful things from others about feeding and care to apply to my three 'children'."
Whether I win an award or not is irrelevant, because I just want to come and learn and network with people," Lan shared.

At the event, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc My, president of the Vietnam Animal Protection Association, said he highly appreciated the activities of the Vietnam Cat Association over the past years and hoped that the event would contribute to the development of the pet industry in Vietnam.
"Furthermore, I also want to remind you that in addition to organizing large-scale events for beautiful cats, we must not forget that there are thousands of cats out there who are desperately lacking love, protection, and care."
"The Vietnam Animal Protection Association is also making calculations and developing plans to organize shelters for abandoned cats, creating conditions to care for cats left out in society," Mr. My said.
