During the performance on the evening of March 16 by artist Minh Vuong at Ben Thanh Theater, when the backstage just opened the show When seeing To Anh Nguyet, the audience gasped in admiration when they saw Ms. Nguyet - Le Thuy sitting there, diligently embroidering while singing in her very own sincere and emotional voice.

Many audiences knew every song and line by heart, but they still followed the story on stage with great interest, not missing any developments.

That was the scene where Ms. Nguyet and Mr. Minh were getting old. Hearing that her son was about to get married, Ms. Nguyet happily embroidered a pair of pillowcases with a picture of a pair of mandarin ducks to give to her son.

Mr. Minh met Ms. Nguyet and still had feelings for her ex. Ms. Nguyet still loved him but had to bury her feelings because he had another family.

That's why there's a scene that viewers will always remember. When Mr. Minh stood up trembling and said: "I'm going home, Nguyet", she seemed indifferent: "Yes, I'm going home" but her heart ached as she saw his unsteady figure.

Several times, it lingered like that to express the painful feeling of two people who love each other but cannot be together.

But on the evening of March 16, something happened…! After the scene, Ms. Nguyet - Le Thuy happily ran back to hold Minh Vuong’s hand to greet the audience. But suddenly, he pushed her hand away and walked backstage.

This funny situation made the audience scream: "Hey, Minh Vuong is "angry" at Le Thuy. So cute!".

Indeed, as artist Bach Tuyet commented, Minh Vuong, as he gets older, talks more and more, speaks well, and is also… humorous!

Because of his growing sense of humor, he has added a bit of charm to his performances, making them very enjoyable for the audience.

More than 50 years together

The performance of To Anh Nguyet opened Minh Vuong's solo show and ended the night with Chung Vo Diem, also performed by Minh Vuong and Le Thuy.

So we can see, for Minh Vuong, it seems that artist Le Thuy has an important position in his career.

In 2008, the Vietnam Record Book Center awarded the record for the longest-serving and most compatible Cai Luong artist couple in Vietnam to artists Minh Vuong and Le Thuy.

At that time, this center recorded that Minh Vuong - Le Thuy had acted together well for 36 years with over 200 plays.

Since receiving the record, Minh Vuong and Le Thuy have continued to sing and perform together. So, if we count correctly, it has been more than 50 years since they have been extremely compatible.

The two artists' names are so closely linked that if there is Le Thuy in a show but not Minh Vuong, the audience will immediately wonder.
