As a regular audience of the Autumn Melody Festival and also a former vocal music student, MC Pham Hung expressed his joy at seeing the festival getting better and more special each year, both in terms of performance content, artistic quality and the luxurious and well-decorated theater space.
The opening night brought many new features, giving a new spirit to familiar songs. He was especially happy to see the audience packed into the auditorium, with many young people.
People really enjoyed and cheered enthusiastically at the end of each performance. That encouragement will be a great motivation for artists to pursue this classical music genre that is not popular with audiences.
"Through the concert Flying to Vietnam , we wish to return to our roots with the treasure of Vietnamese instrumental music, with the honor of Vietnamese musicians, Vietnamese composers and Vietnamese works that have accompanied the years, along with the development of the country's art" - conductor Le Ha My, director of HBSO shared.

20 years of Autumn Melody
After the opening ceremony honoring Vietnamese music, the public will be able to watch special programs in all three genres: musical, ballet and symphony in the following nights.
The most anticipated is Swan Lake - a classic ballet like a "textbook of ballet art" which will be staged for the first time by HBSO and will premiere an excerpt on the evening of August 23.
Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 1 Titan and Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 in D minor , two monumental and challenging works for any orchestra, were also premiered by HBSO over the two festival nights.
Conductor Le Ha My once expressed that performing the above works with 100% Vietnamese artists is a great pride, proving the continuous efforts of the entire HBSO team over the past 30 years.

According to Mr. Tran The Thuan, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, Autumn Melody is the only academic art festival in the country, with a large scale, prestige and strong influence on the art-loving public. The festival not only honors and brings musicals, ballets and chamber music closer to the audience, but also contributes to affirming Ho Chi Minh City as a major cultural center of the country. The journey of 20 years is not too long, but with an art form that is considered not easy to reach the majority of audiences, the festival shows the constant efforts of the Department, HBSO and the artists. The journey to conquer the pinnacle of art is therefore even more meaningful. "Entering a new stage, the festival aims to become the leading international academic music event in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. With the love, belief, and enthusiasm of the artists and the support of a large audience, we believe that Autumn Melody will continue to fly high and far, contributing to enriching the cultural and artistic life of our country." - Mr. Tran The Thuan emphasized.
